Some of the members have done it over at JB, I believe so?

I managed to locate this bike shop called Soon Fah Motors along changi road, well according to him, he said can transform your boxy C70 into the old school super cub kinda look.

I wanted to get a quotation from him, but I met up with accident recently so wasn't able to do so. The rough price he told me was not more than 1.3k to 1.5k if I remembered correctly (ok not confirm, i must check with him but ya roughly), inclusive of welding all the vintage parts, getting the old school seat, changing whatever boxy stuff to rounded, new paint job etc etc.

I think... That will be like really convenient, save you the time to travel around and running up and down places to source for parts?

Just my 2 cents worth..

:)

hey thanks alot for your tips! hmm ok the price seems reasonable enough considering its safe you trips.. do you happen to have the exact address for this place?

the C70 is not a bike that you expect to travel fast. honestly its a little slow. as for me i dont mind. i use my C70 to travel everywhere. there isnt any problem. it just prolly takes just a couple of minutes longer. also the maintainence is real cheap. just the normal. change spark plag, engine oil and wash carb. so i really dont see why it wldnt be good enough to travel from Eunos to Chinatown.

im not too sure which shop has C70's that are on sale. u can ask the rest of the guys in this forum or maybe ya can check out the used thread section.

hope this helps.

the standard gbo pipe.

feels like more power than the chamber pipe.

i was travelling beside him so is my 65km/hr is actually 90?

if you wan power ,.. you should use the Honda EX5 pipe...

i dono...

i dont rely on car's meter...

i planning to change ex5 carb and ex5 pipe.

what differences will i obtain ah?

anyways i was quote 190rm for the carb. is it expensive?

just to add on, im not sure of the kinda speeds you guys might be getting but am using a ex5 pipe also and on the expressway can surely max the meter, that means i suppose 80km/h lah!haha so no issues for me but i think in terms of fuel consumption not as good as stock. ;) just my 2cents!

just my 2c worth, used to ride a vespa too and the change to a cub, difference quite substantial lah but think you might do fine. just have to really get used to the drp in torque.4 stroke bike cannot whack like 2stroke

so initially found it very alarming.the cub is a chill bike so on the highway really have to learn to trust other road users reaction etc cos cannot just open throttle and skirt by the side of cars.haha.i just stay left lane all the way and plan my route so as to remind myself exit where.no worries, you'll adapt :)

cheers!

GBO pipe? My Supercub C90 is pipe is stated 'GTO' pipe. Now then I know C70, C90 & EX5 use different pipes.

Guys, my C90 front brakes are really screaming loud when braking at slow speed, esp when I first ride after not riding it for days. My brake shoes are only 6 months old.

Any idea what cause this sound? inside of rims wear out? or brake shoes not fitted properly. The sound so loud that I dare not use front brokes during slow.
