can i follow bro jayel and jimger if u guys going kempas? ahhh jimger, i think im a lil bit late.got this pipe from a mech.not ori and it keeps backfiring.

Original better. The chiong ones get rusty easily.

Not going to Kempas recently. Will ask you along when I try out the newly found workshop if you want.

the chiong pipes don't fit as well as the original and there may be a leak. Check near the exhaust gasket for leaks. Edited by Jayel

Original exhaust pipe for c70 now very difficult to get. Chiong one sounds terrible to me. They rust very quickly unless bike is under shelter all the time. It seems to help retard rust setting in on the cheap thin chrome of these chiong pipes if u polish with car wax and not use autosol or other metal polish. Even then, they will discolor very quickly, some parts turning into a copper color like being burnt by the heat. I'be been looking for an original nos but no luck so far. Meanwhile mine 1 year already but still no rust and I think it is because I use car wax on it. I would think that autosol is very abrasive and not good for cheap chromes. Meguire maybe less abrasive but wax is best for cheap chromes for shining them as well as to leave a protective coat to repel water/moisture.

Only 72cc.... Humble but strong. Some say it is bullet proof...some say it is bomb proof......:) ... Parts are cheap, easy to maintain n repair, needs only 0.6 ltr engine oil (sometimes ppl use cooking oil), go 50+ km on 1 ltr petrol, cruise comfortably at 65/70kph but still get to places cheaper and faster than taking mrt ....:). It's a pity that the few that is left will mostly be scrapped because of Coe.

what are the brands of the "aftermarket" pipes for c70?

Cheap ones will be those made in Malaysia and Thailand, which I guess is the one you just bought and which is also what I am currently using. Dont know what brand but I called it the $48 pipe because a few shops quote me the same price. I assumed we use the same type cos it seems to me that recently, there is only this made in malaysia type of c70 exhaust available in singapore. Sometimes, they also carry the banana type (actually meant for some round hl models). The banana type may not fit well at the exhaust holder (bracket) Banana type there is 1 brand that is quite good quality - ASIAN (If I remember correctly). There are few others made in this region like the TWIN exhaust for c70 but this will probably get into problems with LTA.

This one made in Japan and I think is really value for money when they have free shipment offers: http://japan.webike.net/products/1959332.html.

I was told it sounds like the original.

There are many higher end ones from webike such as these:

EJM standard cutting so far can pass inspection.

i am using Original EX5 Exhaust right now(cost RM70),

no problem with inspection or on the road.

alternate Honda Original Exhaust for C70,

can look for EX5 HP/Dream, EX5 Class/Class 1.

We had our first meeting today! Fx, jojo, jayel and me met at a neighbourhood plaza and had a little yet interesting chat today. Yes, we started with the few of us. We would hope to see more of you guys in the near future.

Details discussed today are:

Where to get parts? Where to get our C70 done up? What are the concepts we are looking at to do up our beloved rides? Where to meet again in future? Planning of overseas trips on our little bulletproof ride. Setting up a super cub club......etc

Those who are interested to join us the next round, do contact me.

Some pics for us to remember the meet-up!
