engine oil i mean..hehe..

wah u all change spark plug n engine oil every month ar?.. so good sia.. haha..

 

for my self standard.. every 2500km-3000km then change oil n spark plug.

Bike: X1 manual clutch

Mileage: 15,500KM

 

Engine oil : RM$26 Caltex semi-syn

Petrol: Exxon92 $1.802/litre before discount

Spark plug: NGK or Denso @ $2 from LAB

 

Change engine oil once every approximately 3000KM

Change spark plug once every 2 oil change

 

Chain, sprockets, brakepads, etc all still using as per when bike was 1st taken out from motordiam

Have checked with my regular mech at JB, even he feels that if the bike has got original airbox + filter installed, carbs wont get dirty so quickly one...

so till now i've not touched the carb at all

seems like im the most budget rider in here

wat are the signs that show need to change already..? since diff ppl got diff tactic one..

its up to u lar.. for me i change on a regular basis cos i use my bike for work sch n transport...

make it a date to change this n that... and sometime's i give my bike a treat by giving it a more ex petrol, engin oil or spark plug...

but instead of using chain lube, i use 4t or 2t cos i think it last much longer..

wash my bike every week or 2 week..

break pads change every 2mths....

tip: if ure not using the original x1 front mud guard, better don't change ur airbox to racing air filter as the short mud guard dosent cover ur engin well n ur carb will get dirty so have to service...

if my wave is nearing 70000km do i need to overhaul or top overhaul?..cos someone adviced me to do jus dat.to ensure dat my engine is in gd running cond.now also can feel de diff when i 1st got de bike.like a bit rough.

eh bro...juz want to make some clarification...

motul5100 is not semi-synthetic

it merely contain synthetic particles...

nevertheless...i agree that motul oils are good

i duno whether is it semi all i know is its lower grade wan la got better grade but i was thinking for my wave think this is enough.

Ya i agree. Motul is Thumbs up for MOTUL but then i like Maxima most only dat it is more expensive.

 

I also use the MOTUL 5100 Ester SAE 15W50.

 

The back of the bottle states:

Synthetic blend using MOTUL's Ester Technology. Special gearbox additive for better shifting. All types of 4 strokes motorbikes, touring, cruisers, sportbikes and off-road. Contains calcium sulfonate. May produce an allergic reaction.

 

I think this is the cheapest ESTER-base part-synthetic engine oil around in Singapore. In JB last time also i get at RM22. In Singapore I think can get $12 singapore dollars.

Bro, maybe u can try the FP60 additive dat cleans the carbon inside your engine first?

jus gottan myself a 2nd hand wave NF125MD FY plate mileage around 13000 tinking of goin for a full service for mi bike..any recommended place and wads the pricin like??

 

btw any suggestions on wad shd be changed besides e engine oil and e spark plug...

For my X-1:

Change my E.O every 2000-2500km(sometimes once a week),(use only esso Gold)$25

Spark plug NGK $5 Ah boy

 

For My Spark135:

 

Change E.O every 2000-2500km(sometimes once a week),(use only esso gold)$25

Spark plug $5 Ah boy

Change Oil filter every Change Of E.O $5(change myself)

 

For 4T engine Main concerns are the E.O, If u take care of your E.O nothing will happen to your engine for sure..even if u rev until the engine wanna burst..hehehe
