Hi fellow bikers i'm a phantom TA200 rider, thinking of changing bike so wanna find out from u guys wat kind of bike on the market is by far the most fuel economical & maintenance free one in terms of servicing & rusting parts- cos I too busy to wash bike & now my phantom's chrome parts looks like sh*t. Btw my fc for phantom averages about 35km/l so tat bike must be above tat. Pls advice, any input is deeply appreciated! Thanks!

the pulsar is amazing! soon it wil take over from honda. haha. o_O

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

70km/l is possible for turtles. but who the hell would want to go no more than 45/50km/h?

It all depends also on your riding style. Pull throttle to the max and FC will go down. or perhaps you can fabricate a throttle limiter somehow. ^_^

huh u hit 130km/h???!!! If i decide to choose pulsar wat r the recommended mods to make it more powerful/more fuel economy than it already is? which motor diam is pro on servicing pulsar? ty bro

i agree riding habit plays a big part in saving fuel too but for me i alrdy used to "sprint" to 6th gear within 8 sec on a phantom so only choice is to find a better fuel economy bike... sometimes i even pick up faster than spec 3 but is uncle riding la

the pulsar is already designed for the get up and go. zoom off from traffic lights and such, which makes is a very good bike for dispatch.

what you can do for fuel economy however, is to use even thinner tires than whats stock with. not advisable.

Whats advisable is that you toss away the stock champion spark plugs and pop in a pair of NGK8 iridium plugs. grade 9 or 10... optional. Denso plugs of the same grade... performs the same. might as well get NGK and save some, yeah?

If you want to make it even more powerful... what you can do is install K&N air filters, change jet to 1.25 and retune. You may also want to change your rear sprocket to a smaller sized one. I have yet to take a look at the front sprocket to see if one can use a slightly larger one. This mod will reduce your acceleration, but you will hit a higher top speed. tbh if you want to go fast, but want the ease of using a 4 stroke engine that doesnt suck up too much petrol... why not consider the CBR150?

ehh bro CBR 150 not for me as i want storage space as well, so if CBR put rear box den not nice alrdy leh... from my own opinion la. eh spai_duhz bro wat is "change jet to 1.25" huh? btw u think if pulsar add side boxes nice a not? i've seen some otr with givi E21 but seem very awkward leh... i'm thinking of installing the "best bet" side boxes from ah boy which i got for my phantom but dunno looks nice on pulsar a not... also pulsar got a lot of parts prone to rust a not? ty!
