Same unsatisfied experience on this shop (Sou...rn Moto...), last week i bought a bike from them, and was qouted OTR $$$ for the bike. I already paid the deposited amount because we agreed already on the amount offered, suddenly the salesman told me that IU is not yet included in the price that i need to pay extra 175 for the IU and installation. For me its a bit disappointing in my part that i felt cheated bec im expecting the amount agreed is the final cost of the bike. My advise for first time buyer is to bring along a friend of yours who is more experience in buying bike and as to have second opinion before buying.

i went there to buy my bike also. RVF. When i just bought it they say help me change alot of things and in the end all never change. Bad experience with their 2nd hand bikes. After that the bike got this ticking sound. They said its fine. 3 months later, crank rod broke and screwed the whole engine up. had to scrap the bike... oh wells. Bad experience with 2nd hand. Gonna get my new CBR1000 next week. Anyone got a good shop to recommend for new bikess?

i bought my GSR 400 tht cost me 12500 machine price (FBD) miledge (55k)

after 6 month using they pull my bike n say tht i did not pay my bike installment but i already pay 2 months in advance.... and the paper tht they show me is still not under my name is under previous owner.... wat the f......

Yet my bike already ontop of the lorry... They drag my bike up without unlock my handle bar....

When i come down to southen, only thing they can do is say sorry and say there is nothing they can do...

I've been dealing with southern motors for many years. I rode three bikes and all of them I purchased from southern. Never had a problem. Used to deal with Ah Koon for all those bikes, but now that he's no more, I'm dealing with this other guy ah boon for my upcoming bike which I'm trading in with my aprillia, quite friendly. Didn't hesitate when I asked for the breakdown. I guess it's a matter of who you're dealing with at that shop.

I believe if you still have installments with the shop, and you're selling it or trading it for other bike at other shop, there's a penalty payment. From what I know most shops have this same policy.

Bought a RVF400 in this shop paid in full end up ride back tmr cannot start.......i went to my usual mechanic at geylang ...worker strip opened said inside the rectifier is for 250cc bike i'm like wad??? of course cannot charge back fully to tong your bike........end up pay again for a new rvf rectifier......tell myself nvr going back there....juz my personal experience.

Part 1 FULL OVERHAUL:

Just bought a secondhand Aerox155 bike on 16 Dec 2022 and already giving me problem, half an hour after i purchase it. Firstly the salesperson name “Ah Lee” told me that he will FULLY OVERHAUL the bike first before I can collect it so i decided to proceed a deposit in to reserve the bike since i know ALL THE ENGINE GONNA BE BRAND NEW if not I have already consider an alternative bike option and guess what? The salesman lied and I found out that they only do some parts of the overhaul plus I went to my mechanic/my friend too just to verify it and yeap NOT full overhaul at all…when I confront him saying why not FULLY OVERHAUL he say there’s no need for it as some parts of it can still be use(BUT YOU NVR KNOW IF THE PARTS CAN LAST TILL WHEN ONLY) hence he only did partial overhaul but honestly that’s not what he promises and told me…

and I could have purchase other bike with lower mileages, better quality and many accessories that have been done, do you see the lost I’ve gotten if I only have pick other bike…He only told me right after I purchase the bike..Damnnn they’re very smooth abt it and wanted to close the deal very fast..As an evidence ME,ONE OF MY FRIEND,MY FATHER and TWO OF MY DAD COLLEAGUES heard him saying he will do FULL OVERHAUL for me and to trust him..All along his been lying, fooling and giving us empty promise about that bike…and also me and my friend when up to the office few days ltr and talk to the “upper management” to solve the issue/problem abt the FULL OVERHAUL but after hearing from them saying is a SALES TACTICS by saying all those and I just can’t believe it…So in general they lied, give high hopes and empty promises at the end am I right.. try asking them to ask AH LEE to apologise to me and they can’t even do that although they know AH LEE is at fault for lying to me and giving all those false hope..And also before hand I ask him to take picture and video of him doing full overhaul and he agreed to do it and only found out he didn’t do it after the bike was done repairing and the reason given was “Ohhhh I forgot to take pic/video blah3 and all” so whatever I said to him go in left and go out right straight away..the only thing he show was the block of the bike that’s all…I ask him to do all this cause I heard a lot of problem happening in this shop especially about AH LEE and so in the end I just put my trust on him as he consistently told me to “TRUST HIM” but looks like he lost the trust already instantly…is this how you value and treat customer properly? I’ve seen some shop taking video and picture for their customer when overhauling so they know they won’t get cheated and all…cuz my dad experienced a few time and he got a feeling it will happen again…When to the shop twice in less than a week regarding about the rattling/knocking sound and also lots of vibrations that I’ve been experiencing this few days and they say it’s nothing…Afterwards I went to 3 mechanic shops and also ask my friends that rode an auto bike for so long, to give an opinion and ask them to observe and hear what’s happening to my bike and they say it’s definitely a problem and my motor can be damage if I didn’t fix it soon…told southern to open up ALL my engine,cvt and etc back AGAIN to check what’s the issue about but they won’t do it and as they told me there’s no problem at all??? and also I still have my warranty…So now I’m asking are they gonna continue overhauling my bike where they stop which they only change the block and piston only?..and fix the issue…They won’t..

 

 

Part 2-5: Tyre, Suspension, Engine&Tempeature light,Rude

 

Secondly Ah Lee assure me he will give me a BRAND NEW TYRE for front and back and guess what??The 2nd lied he given me..instead of FIRST HAND TYRE, he given us a SECOND HAND TYRE for the FRONT TYRE ONLY and DIDN’T CHANGE the BACK TYRE at all..as he said the back can still can be use???Is he trying to be funny or smth?The back tyre is obviously worn out and can see clearly that the previous rider did lots of corner-ing..and he still dare to say it’s safe to ride until I told them if I needed to call LTA to check and then they proceed to change with a SECOND HAND TYRE..Unlike AA motor gives out brand new tyre to 2nd hand bikes…

 

Thirdly, when I first view the bike it was Ohlins suspension then when I came back to the shop after the bike is done “Overhauled” it was back to stock suspension..so I was very curious and ask Ah Lee about it.. I ask him where’s the ohlins suspension and he told me it was stock all along when I first view and he keep arguing and interrupting me act as if he was right all along UNTIL I shown him a before picture of the Ohlins suspension together with the bike and then he kept his mouth shut and from there his trying to figure out what to say next and in the end he told me that the previous owner took it back, god knows if his lying or not AGAIN…Moment later Ohlin suspension magically appear and they install back..Wow..4 witness of Ah Lee saying all those things that he will change new tyre & full overhaul…Don’t lie to us uh come’on by saying all those things just so you can make us feel better and close the deal faster which we can really see him doing that..and like they say it’s SALES TACTICS so must be VERY CAREFUL.

 

Fourthly, after riding a FEW MINUTES on the road just after I purchase, the temperature and engine indicator pops out…Can’t go back to the shop as it’s already closed so have to manually check my coolant and yeapp no coolant..Unfortunately have to leave the bike to the nearest HDB multi story carpark near me because don’t wan to risk anymore riding eventho he say to it’s okay to ride home and bring to the shop the next day..and they fix it so for that I thank them..

 

Fifth, Ik is just a 2nd hand bike with 6 years + COE (Which cost 10.8k which cost ALOT TO ME) but money is money and I used ALL OF MY SAVING for it and to add on what Ah Lee says in the phonecall after I told all the truth was I was making a huge fuss as like I was buying a “Mercedes car”!?!Rude and dishonest Salesperson I ever met IN MY LIFE!!!After having all this problem I decided to read the review from google and yeaaa quite a few ppl are unhappy about it example like hidden fees,dishonest, poor servicing, to be very careful with the “old man” and lastly I saw they ONLY CARE ABOUT CLOSING THE DEAL….god knows how many more problems the bike gonna give me through the years or giving others a hard time…i don’t personally recommend buying bikes from here but if you do, all I can say is to be VERY EXTRA CAREFUL with them cuz be prepared to deal with such a dishonest, rude and etc of the salesman especially “Ah Lee”…Don’t you feel like a SCAM SHOP?Imagine buying IPhone with full price and them telling you charger,cable and hardware is brand new and it’s provided...Then found out that they don’t give charger(Ohlion being taken out), Cable with expose wiring(Second Tyre) and Hardware(NOT FULLY OVERHAUL) not working well upon collection..Won’t you be frustrated that you’re receiving this kind of product and wtv the salesman promises is just all LIES..Read and saw most of the review from google saying that AhZhong is the best salesperson to deal with so maybe y’all can consider going to him instead of others in Southern…Honestly there’s more I can spill the tea but I refuse to say it…I may seems like a teenager that you can fool around and like thinking I will let it go easily but sorry uh you mess with wrong person Ah Lee!! All I’m just asking is them to kept their promise which is to FULL OVERHAUL, change a BRAND NEW FRONT & BACK TYRE and PROPERLY SERVICE my bike..

In General the shop is a scam and it’s a sales tactics according to them..

Sounds like a lot of issues with this bike shop.. next time better google before you all decided to buy or service with any bike shops.. 

In short - 

1) Promised full replacement of block/piston but only change certain parts that's required + you still hearing weird sounds from the engine area and reviewed from other bike shops certified that there's still issues with engine.

2) Ohlin suspension removed despite deposit already made

3) Tires was promised brand new but was provided only 2nd hand on front tires, rear tires only provided 2nd hand after you bring in LTA as almost no more thread.

4) No coolant upon taking out from workshop (most likely overhaul forget to put in) - very ridiculous. Where got mech forget such a important stuff.. =.=''

5) Rude with comments - merc car.. honestly.. even $100 is hard earn money.. what's to say 10k.. that's alot of money as well..
