That time left there for 3 weeks.

But I don't recommend to go back to the shop I went to. They sub let to another shop.

They lost the chrome cover for my side boxes, threw away my stebel horn and destroyed my 3 strips of triple colour LED lights.

Then when I spotted that the bolt for the side box cover wasn't tied down properly and pointed out to the boss (the bolt is tied by wired through a hole, no nuts for tightening) the boss told the worker to do it, then the worker forgot to do so. When I went riding, the side box door flew off. :sian:

Never going back there again.

Bro dont waste money and buy carb la. Dismantle less than 1hour. If thing like rubber seal or diaphragm tear, take bus or cab to jalan besar to buy the parts, clean and reinstall. Less than a half a day's work.

bro, was thinking buy one bring home wash cause I got ultrasonic cleaner and if one is not too expensive, might as well not pay to wash and after a few wash saved can break even the carb? I dunno. Just a thought. Have to find out the price of the carb. Actually the carb is working beautifully.

Get some carb cleaner and it shud be able to last u many servicings. Less than $10. And u shouldnt even have to service it often. Once a year is considered over already. Plus, say u get a 2nd hand one, wat if its not in best condition and u have to spend more money to replace its internals.

Petrol is okay, but its cleansing strength is not very good. Proper cleaning agents like carb spray/cleaner is better. The STP brand available in most supermarkets works fine.

You mean the type which tells you which gear you are in?

I do have a question about the newer and older version of phantoms though. I know the only thing that is not interchangable is the fuel tank and speedo. But can any one confirm whether the older version of phantom can be installed with the newer type of fuel tank and speedo? That would eventually mean that the handlebar assembly, ignition assembly would have to be replaced as well, since the indicators for both versions are located at different places.

the ignition switch is the most easily identifiable feature. The older version of TA200's ignition switch (where you plug your key) is at the left side near the chrome cover. The newer version is at the handle bar assembly (near your handlebar).

Edited with more items, and does anyone know how much is the choke cable assembly?

Most gear indicators depend on a digital speedo sensor, not like the phantom's, which is gear-driven

There is a version which can be fixed for cable driven speedos. But it would require a custom bracket for the wheel speed sensor kit.
