went to make a number plate..rear standard lta apprroved type..ie plastic characters hot sealed on to alu plate..$12..need to place order and collect next day..

 

Yup, standard lah! Unless you go early morning and it's a clear & sunny day for the paint to dry, and collect in the evening lor! Or another method is that you can have it printed out immediately and pasted on a blank alu plate which I think Juzz Wheelzz can do it within an hour of less.

mine is plastice characters where they are hot sealed into plate..actually if plate and plastic charaters availble can do on the spot..but cost more..

anyone know the exact model number for phantom 2006 EBC/Goldfren rear brake pad?

 

Apparently, 02-05 phantom has the same front and rear brake pad.

 

But for 2006 onwards. The rear brake pad still remains the same but the front is a different model.

I am not so sure but there was once i went ah boy to get brake pad. He gave me FA197 x 2. Front and back. He told me is the same.

 

When I tried fixing, only the back was correct. The front is a different design.

Grr. Don't mind to check with the original vendor of your bike? He/She/It would know best because logically they're the first choice for servicing the new Phantoms.

 

Ps. It's a rumor that the new 'generation' Phantoms may be fitted with performance cams and other small changes. May explain the different front caliper.

oh well. I managed to exchange the front brake i bought from LAB with ah chong. lol. he help me fix it up. FOC. :X

 

I gave up. I will just visit ah chong one more time today and keep my used front brake pad.

No idea what did LAB sell you lol. But yeah I trust Chong for anything Phantom mechanical related.

 

He doesn't try and force me to put 2 litres of engine oil in my bike (which literally would cause the thing to explode later on), unlike some other less knowledgeable shops!

 

He's good with Super4s and other sportsbikes as well but your mileage may vary with non-Phantoms...
