just my friend.. he said his phantom the gearbox got prob, maybe need change clutch plate too.. suspension like got prob.. seems like alot of prob. but dunno if his changing anot... cause his getting class 2A already.

 

so need to see if it's worth repairing anot.. its a FU plate.

hey wanna ask u guys..

if lets say right..im currently 19..

taking 2A in dec this year..

planning to change to a first hand bike..

would it be a problem if i go to NS?

like.. scared leave bike around for too long.. cant ride to camp and stuff..

just changed EO last week... need to run 1000km more to next change... :dozed:

 

need to run other 18000km before next spark plug change... :dozed:

 

and I like my brakes to be spongier... they are sooo stiff... :sian:

when I was in ns... I doubt I had much time / freedom to ride a bike during my trainee days... I think your bike will suffer greatly during your first year in ns...

 

anyway, today is the very first time in my life pumping esso... omg the petrol is PINK! I was like... nia bo... :cheeky:

Are you going to tekong for BMT? If so, unless you have a friend or relative to ride the bike its best to wait till you're posted out into a unit or another training school to decide.

phantom normal EO change was 1500km and spark plug twice that duration..

 

unless u have $$$ to throw..

 

current CB400, i change EO every 5-6000 km and spark plug last 25,000 km (according to manufacture spec)

since u cant ride for long, dont rush to get new bike....

 

our dearest YASMAN, has been riding his TA200 since 2B, 2A and class 2, throughout NS..

ns pay is definitely nt alot.. so to be able to pay the installment is 1 prob.

second is i scared like i only come back weekends..

bike will sit in carpark to rot. perhaps get stolen i oso dunno.

and i guess aft that another 6 mths i tink.

 

so i shld wait till i pass the first 3 months of bmt first?

or just wait till ns is totally over?

hi

my advise to you is hold on to your phantom. decide after you have been posted to your unit.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

if you can wait until you ord it would be better.. if not, at least wait until you have been posted to your unit. no need relatives to ride.. just once a few days ask your parents to go to your bike and start the engine..

 

for money issue, no1 knows your financial health better than yourself. i am fortunate enough not to put installment into consideration when i bought my bike cos i borrow $$ from my good buddy and return him within 3 months.. but rather, i need to put maintainance of the bike into consideration..

The A&W route has to be verified. Heard that the A&W outlets are closing. :(

Best to confirm that they are still opened before going.

A sad day for all A&W lovers, I have just checked out the 2 old A&W outlets at Taman U and Masai, and they are officially closed, just as reported.

Let's hope the new A&W outlets will be bigger and better than the old ones.

2 times in singapore and 3 in malaysia.

 

i wonder why a&W closed down. Busniness good what.
