WTF? ur FC 27km/L? OMG

mine only 19..

i count many times liao, all the time same, constant, mostly expressway 100-110kmh riding with a few traffic stops. top box removed.

distance traveled from msia customs to my house is 40km +-1 or 2km, fuel consumed is 1.5 litres. i pump full tank near my house. do your math and the result is about 26.7777, something like that.

your TA150 zhng so many things, tong pipe, rider weight, laden weight all play a part mah. i always check tire pressure religiously once a week.

tried one hand steering while lane changing and cornering as suggested by charles. wa, very nice the feeling. now that i understand the practical part of it. i still don understand the theoreotical part of it...

right wrist on throttle, push handlebar forward away from me, bike turn to right, pull towards me, bike turn to left.

can someone pls explain the theory part of this phenomenon?

I thought I mentioned it... if the wheel points left, it would force the bike to lean right... it might seems contradictory when you are turning at low speeds, when you "turn" your handlebar left to "turn left". but actually, as long as the handlebar is pointed left the bike would try to topple to the right, and the reason why we would still be able to complete the turn without being toppled to the right is that our body weight is countering the effects of counter-steer at low speeds... as our body weight is shifted to the left

Newton's laws of motion are often stated in layman’s terms for simplification and easy recollection as:

First Law: "An object in motion will stay in motion and an object at rest will stay at rest unless acted upon by an external force" or "A body persists in a state of uniform motion or of rest unless acted upon by an external force."

Second Law: "Force equals mass times acceleration" or "F = ma."

Third Law: "To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction."

you have just illustrated Newton' third law of motion..

in bike terms this is counter steering..

Or u can also go to science centre to learn :cheeky:

Remembered there was this exhibit with a bicycle wheel explaning it.

Anyway am looking for a bigger box to put my FF and my Power Ranger Jacket cause my current Zues 45L cannot fit :sian:

Thinking to change to Givi E450 cause i tried to squeeze them into my friend's box without any problems.

i see... i see... thanks for explaining, will check the link out for more info, so the force at work here is similar to driving a car right? when trying o do u-turn, just release grip on steering wheel, the wheel will auto return to straight ahead position.. am i right?

for example, i ride my bicycle, i can free hand and go round a bend w/o hands on handlebar, still no guts to try on motorbike. :cheeky:

no need so fast la, you go slow below 30kmh can feel it liao. don try it in peak hour traffic! :cheeky: i wondering, if very skilled riders can just one hand to steer and corner in track races...

in the case of cars I think it is the power steering that is returning the steering wheel to center... anyway a car doesn't lean during a turn...

well... I am literally all over the forums...

and thats ok... its not like the singles would shun the couples

o.O..

i thought one side will be lower? due to Centrifugal force??

yea... the car is lighter on one side, but the tyre wall of the car tyre is still vertical! so it only applies to vehicles with rounded tyres (exempli gratia motorcycles). when the car is "counter-steering", it would only be controlling the slide angle of the car while it is drifting...

From FNO thread.

on the way home with jtzx after crossing back to sillypore, saw 4 "white ghosts" ghosting past us at high speed. at least 110kmh and dissapearing into the distance, then later on dragon force and gang let the both of us smell their smoke... :cheeky:

reached home about 230am... distance from msia customs to my home is 40km, consumed about 1.5litres of petrol. FC about 27km/litre. quite happy with my FC! been doing doing my petrol math on every fno trip.

yeah loh.. i wanna go faster de.. But abit sleepy.. so just go slow and steady.. TP speed = LTA fine them??

yeah lorh, dragonforce and his gang zoom us so fast. ;-(

o_O when was that? got zoom pass you all meh? on the way home along PIE? i was within speed limit most of the time.. dont say i zoom pass leh.. :cheeky:
