check with you all ah... if i were to renew my insurance now. it expires in late april, by 26 march, my p-plate drop. will i be quoted a price w/o p-plate?

 

cos my road tax expires early march, bike due for inspection soon. wondering whether i can just renew road tax for 6 months and later renew insurance after 26 march...

you cannot renew road tax first then renew insurance cos not adequate insurance cover. Need at least same period cover to renew 6 month or 12 months road tax

 

LLST renew insurance first then can renew road tax. Would suggest extend enough cover so nice nice can expire together with road tax, though 11 months is a long period.

 

And insurance renewal means pass 1 year liao, no more probation. So they should not quote you P/Plate premium. but must check the numbers, sometimes they anyhow.

cannot laz.. they will quote the same price.. i tried asking Ntuc before also. cant be done. so end up paying the no exp insurance.

just went to ntuc to enquire about my insurance renewal, my premium cheaper by $180 approx. but still find it ex... gonna get quotes from other insurance companies... then make my final decision...

took a 40km ride to try out my new settings...

 

on the way home on PIE towards changi, I hit reserve... so I reached down to turn my petcock... tried to turn it... but it would turn! a quick peek later I realised that it was already at reserve... oh ***... I signaled left and free wheeled out of jalan eunos exit...

 

I figured that the nearest petrol kiosk was caltex... at paya lebar road... well I didn't really have an alternative... so I pushed my bike there... 1 freaking hour... :cry:

wah worse case scenario.. that's y once reserve i will try to pump already..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

Thats why if my bike got petcock, I will make it a habit to turn it to off whenever I park and turn it back to on when I start to ride.

Saves me this kind of surprises :D

 

But good thing its yr KSR... if your phantom... you :thumb:

dunno le... I didn't remember hitting reserve tank for many weeks...

 

still... I won't turn the petcock off and on... I prefer to keep the carburetor wet...

lol of course after cycling I tried to revive the ksr and ride it out...

 

one contender has came to my place to try solve its woes... but only the 14mm nut was loosened... the 17mm nut of the swing arm is still smiling at me... looking so smug... ****... :cry:

 

now I have a next contender coming to my place... :weep:

 

argh chinese new year is still by far the public holiday that I dislike most...

after doing 3 somersaults in the air... the left footrest, gear lever, right foot rest, rear brake cylinder, rear brake lever all got ripped off the bike... can't ride it... :weep:
