Mindef just threw out a tender for such bikes. Here's the specific operational requirement.

This bike, unless on an expert rider, probably couldn't even make Ah Guang's trial :angel:

Tank, fenders, lights, seat, rear wheel, pegs, spark arrestor, skid plate all different, but the engine and frame do look like a tw

Not only that...i donno when they want to change the land rover...not say that is not good...but its too old now and most are corrupted already...repair here n there...might as well change...

 

saw the new rover though...look like RAV4...but its a ford donno wat lah...look super nice...donno when the going to take over the landrover...

its sure looks old i wonder wad "model" is tat.. at first i tot the bike is xl or xr i cant rmb 185 or 180 i oso cant rmb...

Yup, you're right, it is an AG200 for sure.

 

Honestly, it's not THATTT bad a bike... It's pretty durable, not very fast, but it gets you where you need to go.. It's kinda noisy, which is bad for recce, and i'd rather a bike that will go faster when i'm being chased by the enemy!!

 

But it's alright i guess... it's the rider honestly. I've gone up a purely gravel 60 degree slope on the bike (elephant hill near pasir laba), and that's nottttt easy my friends.. it depends on the rider, not the bike, as usual... :angel:

i seconded Armrscout on the bike. I rode it during my re-service.

 

On the road, it can't go fast and the convoy can't go fast too. So there is no difference.

 

On the trail, it is pretty durable. I did a 180 degrees head first flip and ended beneath the bike. Lucky there are always crash bars fixed on it; no serious injury. If the handle bar did not bend out of shape, the bike can still pick up and run in no time.

 

army bike never intend to look look, so i am ok with the bike.
