Agree with you. Stock parts although are made of steel much heavier than aluminium parts but are much stronger and can last longer.

Modifying your brake system is dangerous if not done correctly, why risk your life? And changing to illegal pipe will kenna caught by ROV and summon $750. Buying a legal pipe also about the same price but doesn't really make your bike fly. Want to go faster, buy a factory built super racing bike lor.
