X1-R would not be releasing on the road in Singapore because the machine price of the bike only is $8k.. not many singaporeans would like to part their $8k for a 125cc bike.. u can check out the display hanging bike at Mah Motors..

i have noticed that some waves out there are much 'faster' then mine.. eventhough my spockets are set 4 pick up.. just today... i saw a wave i' pick up much faster than me eventhough i was ahead of him a good 50m.. so would all of u bros out there... enlighten me on how can i achieved such speed and pick up.. thanks

 

PS: if there are any mods involved.. could u please state where to install it.. and how much

Isn't the purchase of a wave mainly for the sole purpose of good fuel economy and cheap transport rather than for the sake of racing at higher speeds? A bigger cc sportsbike would be a better solution....

thanks ArWeN & IdiotiClown for your swift and thoughtful advise... but i am rather curious not anxious to get my wave to the speed level of those 'fast' waves.. i am wondering what he did to his bike... coz.. the more u know... the more experience u have? am i rite clown and arwen? knowing the loopholes of ur bike will serve u better in troubleshooting when ur bike breaks down... just my 2cents... :-)

that wave rider might have done something to his bike for you might not know...

 

maybe engine displacement increase ?

bigger carbs ?

even larger sprocket ratio compared to yours ?

 

a lot of factors, but like what some bros here mentioned, if want fast, shouldn't even consider a wave125 in the first place..

There are plenty of ways to increase the power or pick-up but can you accept the fact that your full tank of petrol will go half the distance?

in this senario.. if u want to have a fast wave, u can try porting the block, change bigger carb(nsr sp one or maybe others), thin tyres, mod ya pipe & etc.. maybe u can achieve what u want yer wave to be. but a gentle reminder, ya wave will slurrppss ya petrol good enuff for u to visit the kiosk often..

hehe, cup oh.. wave110 can pick up faster than the 125 ones.. hee i oways tried. maybe the weight of rider? im onli 0.055ton.. so light.. ... maybe its the tec`hnique use for pick up... muz play wit clutch, n 'pop' wheelie..!

It's in the gearbox... wave 110 will hit top gear at a lower speed

the gear ratios are diffrent btween 125 n 110, the chain/sprocket oso diffrent size

The 110 will be more stressed-out reaching the top speed if both 125 and 110 are given the same target top speed of say 120km/h.
