hi guys

Giv mi yr suggestion weather u tink class 2 sportsbike are worth buying. Rate in terms of performance, maintance cost, road tax, insurance( less sae 22 yrs old+- ), reliablity, spare availabitly.

I am current riding a super 4 spec 1. I wil b able 2 get class 2 nxt yr jan, bt unsure if i 1 to upgrade ant?

I am considering getting 600cc or 1000cc sportsbike. Probably R6 or R1. Old model it's ok. More towards the $$$.

I dun go to track. I love travelling.

Bro anything that you need to spend extra but use for the reason is not worth buying...I owns a Class 2 1litre bike and I use it for transport, but I can also just spent $3500 on a Kup for transport and save the rest of the money...Same goes for car...Toyota Vios $45k also car, Mitsubishi Evo 9 $150K also car, Lamborghini $1.1million also car...sometimes it depends on what you afford and what you want...

It all depends on what you really want...even I pay alot if $$$ for a 1litre bike but I am happy and felt worth it cause it delivers what it cost...

Yeah...for your age for a brand new 1 litre bike

Insurance premium cost around $2.3k...

Road Tax is standard regardless of age $320...

Fuel consumption 13.5km/litre - 15km/litre

600cc mite only be a diff of 200cc compared to a 400cc, but the jump in HP is almost double..

buying 1 is easy, maintaining & keeping is another.

u dun need much capital in buying one, but u gotta ask yrself if u can afford to keep it (no offences)...

as in, regular maintance, rd tax, insurance, aftermarket parts...

IMO,its really worth it...definitely :thumb:

in addition to wat u said:

I thought a thought. But the thought I thought wasn't the thought I thought I thought. If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought, I wouldn't have thought so much.

IMO, getting any class 2 motorcycle is a passion for riding. You do not really think about the money aspect. If commuting is all you need, think small.

Sad to say, this question has been raised many times. You do not ask whether a bike is worth it or not when you really want it. If you have to consider the worthiness of your passion, you are not ready for it.

No lah. Bike's peak power not at redline.

Take R6 for example, peak power at 14000. Redline 16500.

S4's is about 11000. Redline 13000.

thanx guys for provide all the useful info. I guess big bike all are costly, and yesh i am prepared 2 pay. BUT onli to sum extend i guess. Maintance as long as it dun nt break dw too often it's ok. Nt those costly parts lk rectifier or magnetic coil. I find it reasonable.

I guess the increase in horsepower is realli tempting.

Nw i am holding back bcos of the price of insurance. If i wanna ride a class 2 bike for long, i hav 2 set aside the maintance, road tax, insurance & the fuel comsumption.

Ani1 can provide mi more info in those areas. Wat is the price of insurance for 22yrs old riding 600cc sportsbike?

"You do not really think about the money aspect. If commuting is all you need, think small." But $$$ is a major issue when upgrading. It simply a fact of life.

I guess

depends on your age la bro. Take wat u can afford.

Seriously speaking 2003-2005 models of 600, CBR6, K4 k5, R6 the insurance premium not that expensive. Maybe wif NCB $500-$700 depend on age. IF above 25 years shld be quite affordable !

New bike don need to say la. I ask for quote for 07 R6. My age 25. I was quote $1050 ( with 20% about $800).

So if you cannot pay $500-700 comfortably, then THINK TWICE:angel:
