chatted with Panda, he's not free this Sunday. So I propose the meetup/training for some of us who can make it Next Sunday? Location probably at Koon's St soccer court there?? alternative location would be Tanglin Halt. Timing would be around 9-10am.

 

any suggestions of locations, timing, courts, conditions would be welcome.Pictures of Locations would be appreciated.Panda would upload pictures of AMK playing area.

Phantom Panda: I gave a size 5 ball to theYasman for his own training to get back into form, think he can bring one or i'll bring another of my own.Those who has can bring their soccer ball too.

 

genie: time to get some warm up with us and get back into your form, we'll go slow for ya dude no worries!!

 

donchen: punggol & sengkang sounds good since they are new estates meaning less residents playing and we'll have more of the court to ourselves rather than overcrowding at soccer courts in those populated estates. any picture of the court would be fine.

jB bro, the ball you lent me is not of sufficient quality for playing, but just kicking around. Would bring it to return to you, but i hope there's a better ball. Anyhows, i'd prefer it to be in the evening times, say Friday or something... Wont want to struggle with my fasting

I used to play striker and right wing but any position (other than Keeper) will suits me fine. This idea is gettin me all excited... playin at the street soccer court at ah koon seems like a good idea. Fix a date, preferably on a friday for me.

How about NOT finalising the first 11 thing first? We'll just proceed with our casual soccer games. Once the match date is finalised, those who can make it and are interested in taking part will 'register' here. Since Panda has suggested this event, he'll be the team captain who makes the decisions; including the first XI, our positions, etc. This is to maximize our team's potential, reduce chances of last-minute attendance-failures and also to give everyone a chance, unless you guys prefer the Early Bird way.

TheYasMan: haha told you the ball is for you to get your form back only, not for real games. I did play a whole competition in the Cage using that similar batch of ball.Its good for court only I reckon.Anyway I also want us to play in the court first as the first priority because firstly court is small, everyone won't run too far.Only short distance sprints and some passing cum shooting around.. secondly we'll need more balls if we were to be on field. Nobody wants to watch & wait for each other to take turns to shoot.

Its also an total artificial pitch, quite in a central area la, it's a big field with 2 side small pitch.

there's a difference playing size 4 & 5 balls.

 

IMO, I still prefer playin on basketball court, bigger, no restriction on heights & tackles & best of all, better shooting training.

oh ok so I didn't rmb wrongly, its at jurong..will go over have a look one day..how's the hourly rate? it looks much better than the hot-stuffy-humid cage.. been to st wilfred, the pitch is same as cage but open roof. think the small pitch is like 30+ per hour? forgotten. Played on the big field after playing in the small one(got invited cuz team lacked players).

 

good thing about these fields, artificial grass = no sand

bad thing, you have to empty your boots/shoes of those black rubber bits

 

think the game will be next sunday? play FOC in some neighbourhood st soccer court first ba dude..
