Have u ever seen an accident?

i have, twice.

 

 

first was when i myself was invloved in an accident. the next thing i remmebered was that the cars side mirror was just next to my handle bar.

 

second time.. i was travelling on CTE at abt 3pm.. back to camp.. abt 3 yrs ago.

 

this uncle was riding his lao 'k', travelling at abt 80km/hr on the second lane, i was at the first lane travelling at abt 130km/hr..

 

den this old man's bike suddenly wriggle left right left right and suddenly fell.. i couldnt help anything at all.. i just zoomed past him and i hope he is ok..

seen 3-4 times liao when ppl die .. didnt really see wat happen but see police cover white cloth , the 1 i remenber most clearly is the malaysia kup at PIE , rider self skid but cos never wear helment properly he die on the spot with blood and brain juice flowing on the road...

 

i also witness a few others minor acc as the events unfold, most of the minor acc i feel its the rider fault..

ya. that time i juz pass lor. then saw TP i panic then in front car suddenly brake i then ebrake and skid. the next thing i know is an uncle wake me ask me if im alright. and then the next day i cannot stand up gota go A & E check my leg and get to know that my ankle bone fractured. The doc say fractured inside mean the bone inside break. haiz.. was on cast for abt 2 weeks, on clutches for abt 2 mths.

i entered AYE, still on the left most lane and then i saw the brake lights of the vehicles in front came on, so i slowed down and right away i heard a loud bang right beside me as a vehicle knocked into the vehicle infront. luckily was low impact, the two of them then moved to shoulder to settle their biz. quite scary because it happened right beside me and the bang was especially loud...

one of e most vivid 1 i rem - my frnd & me were about 2 cross e rd 4 my school ECA( S.J.A.B).. 1 very old auntie was squeezin tru 2 bus very slowly( me & frnd was followin behind her).. suddenly.. e 1st step she walkout frm e bus blindspot.. we heard a bang & she flew a few metres away landed into e small drain.. nothin happen 2 e kawa rider & his gf.. though we r trained 1st aider but we r frozen.. scared.. perhaps e scene was 2 horrible.. sigh.. terrible rider.. speed so fast on a sat morny + nv slow down near bus stop..

I saw a few accident before. The most interesting one is when me and a few friends were crossing the road. We were in the middle of the divider then suddendly got one car knock into a bike. There is a friend who is walking slightly faster then us was about 7-8 meters infront of us started running forward as the accident was quite near to to him. The bike rider was flung into the air due to the impact and he landed on top of my friend that was running. It look like our friend trying to catch the flying man, everything happen in just seconds. IT WAS SO FUNNY !!!! Lucky the bike rider only suffer a few cuts.

Saw once when i was riding my sp back then..

 

Proceeding out of my carpark and this pizza scooter went past infront of me..I ride out of the carpark onto the main road just behind him and the next thing i heard/saw was that the scooter skidded while doing a gentle bend..Rider skid to the opp direction lane.Bike skid to the opp lane,hit the kerb and rebound back to hit 2 more cars.Owner of the vehicles came out to check on the rider while i stop by the road side to call 995.If i nv remember wrongly, saw the rider vomit blood..After that i proceed off liaoz..

i saw someone jump flat. sick saw it during secondard sch yrs. not only me but someother classmated saw it too. those gals tat witness it mc 1 week. for me hair standing tat time. person tat died was an 40+uncle. died shirtless facing down(ouch) funny thing was few passer-bys saw the uncle on the floor nobody went to help till some time police and paramedic arrived.

i was still in pri sch then. at the traffic light near TM and MRT. not the one near Cheers. one cyclist, young boy, crossed the road w/o checking for oncoming traffic. anyway it was still RED MAN. BANG!! 1 taxi smashed into him, cant brake in time. i saw the kid rolled on top of the taxi, to the roof, and landed at the back on the road, behind the taxi. the French bread he was carrying inside a plastic bag was thrown out. and some other stuffs. he was in pain. bicycle was smashed. next time, dont cross when its RED MAN.

 

wah some stories u guys told really power ah, do list out somemore. anyway dont list out things that HAD OREDI HAPPENED B4 U ARRIVE. if like dat then many ppl can contribute liao. list out things we SAW LIVE WIF OUR OWN EYES..

Think most of the chiong kah have it happen themself, include me.

The worst i saw was around tanglin years back, can see the bean curb of the dead biker on the road, really can't stand to see soft food for the 1 month, no joke!!

on my way home from school once, i saw this old man with a helmet on his head lying on the road with his hands stretched out in front of him as he was riding. his knees were bent too and he just froze there while his yamaha rd laid in between lanes. it was kinda funny at first till i thought twice and feared that he might be in shock. nobody even bothered to touch him. people just walked past while an auntie made a phone call on the pavement. i was in a bus so i couldn't do anything

From what I see here, and have experienced myself most of the time the bystanders don't even bother to help or call for help. Nowadays even primary school kids have handphones but who would call 995 when he sees an accident? I dare say less than 1 out of 10!

One big truck rammed into the back of a stationary black car and then into the pillars of the new overhead expressway near Beauty World.

 

couple of riders skidded in between lanes at the PIE/Stevens Road exit during a drizzling afternoon.

 

couple of cars which jammed braked to slow down at the 1st lane after they spotted a TP BMW parked at the side. They were already going too fast and jamming their brake too late.

I saw this 4 years ago in Brisbane. Was riding down from uni and going back home. Waited at the cross junction for the light to change.

 

From the left, a Holden Commodore (Australian-made 3.8 Litre V6 sedan) smashed into a 1980's Toyota Corolla that was waiting at the other side of the junction from where I was.

 

Apparently, the driver of the Commodore was speeding. Somemore where he came from was downhill. The cross junction is starting to be flat land from where he was headed to.

 

Thankfully for the driver of the Corolla, the hospital is on the same side of the road where he was.....

hmm.. the most recent one was 1-2 mths back.. the taxi infront of me hit the vehicle in front.. i jammed my brakes and managed to stop in time.. then when i looked back... this van was soooo close into hitting me.. had my bike came to a full stop 1-2 inches earlier.. i would have been hit too..

I guess this thread should not aim at like "boasting" how many accidents you have witnessed or encountered but still standing alive and kicking..

 

Rather, perhaps, its should contribute more of how fortunate and lucky you were for escaping one, how helpful or considerate fellow road users were to help the victim and stuff..

 

For myself, it has been 2 years plus and I could still remember the scene where my friend was killed right before me. Then we were still riding bicycles, we were riding side by side, myself at the kerb side, him on my right.. when a car rammed him at a high speed from behind.. both him and and the bicycle was thrown into the air and only came to a stop more than 1 1/2 lamppost away.. he was killed on the spot due to the impact and injuries on his head.

 

Perhaps, one would be more calm and attend to the victim when the person you do not know, but if it was a close friend or a loved one, somehow things are totally different..

 

Therefore, ride safe and well ppl, for it is not your life that you might only lose in an accident, but might be a good friend or a loved one. Also, please do not drink and drive/ride..

Back in '88, my classmate was killed by the school bus he last rode on. He turned back to the school bus 'cos he left his book behind. He got hit and died from his injuries.

i personally went to a death defying experience when the car just dashed out of a right turning pocket when green light in my favour and she just dashed out when I was like 2 bike length, send my pillion and myself flying and I suffered a broken ankle which set me out for 6 months.

 

back in school days, saw my friend who is a motorsiao took a right corner and self skid crashed into the traffic light helmet cracked, blood and juice flowing out... damn gruesome.

 

in poly days, went out with my friend, i was in the car while he and his gf on 929, we were discussing where to go on PIE and after deciding the destination he pick up speed and cut in front of us to lead the way, a taxi cut into our lane from the left at the same time and smashed into my friend sending him and pillion flying in opposite direction..... his gf concuss for almost a week. he suffered from a fracture shoulder...

 

still got many more... think I'm a jinx...

Last time I remember an accident at the road next to my block of flats .. biker and pillion died. Taxi made right turn when they were going straight... the people who saw the accident, no one called the ambulance. only got 1 teenage boy that took out his HP, called... his mother, "MA! MA! guess what I saw? AN Accident ley! the bike sure die one!"

Ambulance couldn't get thru.. the debris from the accident was spread across 4 lanes... no vehicles could move.

 

Another incident, Was on the bus in the rush hr traffic... bus e-braked but still in the end langa the truck in front... wind screen broke (Heng shatter proof) I was sitting down so lucky only banged my hand and shoulder.. but after 5 min, everyone stunned go to bus driver and asked him to open the door, NOT a single person asked how was the driver! I had to repeat my question so many times to the ppl in front in the end i just shouted! IS the DRIVER OK? I think the uncle heard me then he got off his driver seat... I look at him and see no blood, no signs of injury, then i hop off the bus rush to work
