The colour of petrol is immaterial except for visual differentiation.

 

I have been pumping RON95 petrol since I started owning a bike (SPC,ESSO or MOBIL). On the rare occasions when I ride into SHELL, I may take a dose of VPower for the heck of it.

 

It does seem to give the bike some extra oomph, but 95 is already giving me enough horsepower for kicks, so no sense in spending more IMHO.

A bit :offtopic: here...

 

Previously on my TA, I find that V-Power is terrible: consumption sucks, and throttling is rough and irregular (does anyone know the real RON for

V-Power anyway?).

 

On my current bike, its even worse (probably cos of EFI vs carb). Besides a very SLIGHT improve in response, the overall ride is crap, especially if you're traveling long distance on highway, etc. FC, needless to say its absolutely rubbish (I have a FC meter on my bike btw).

 

I for one am anti-Shell (only pump cos you guys FNO and top up there). 98 is still acceptable but I'd still prefer Esso 8000. Its Esso or Caltex Plat for me.

 

BTW, my Honda EK feels the same way. :puke:

I'll rest, but I wont give up.

If you rmber what we chatted, maybe 1 day, we'll just switch the engine driven to pedal power. Hope this still stands. :thumb:

Hmmmm, wanting to cycle ah? Actually i also have the same idea but need to wait for my house to be ready first. If u guys into cycling, i might join up with u guys. Btw kev.....u into road or mountain bikes?

I want to see the world and i'm pretty sure the world wants to show a little something to me.
