Nice meeting up with you guys. Finally we had our first meetup. Its cool to see some of nice gadgets that are fitted on your bikes. Great stuff like vibration sensing alarm, digital clock display and aftermarket chrome levers are some of the things which I may wanna consider fitting on my CBF as well. In near future, maybe Merboy can help to convert our CBF engine to run on CNG with the bazooka-like cyclinders... hee hee... :cheeky: Looking forward to another outing with you guys... Meanwhile, take care and ride safely.

Hey guys,

its been a pleasure meeting up with you all. The CBF150 community is a bit small but I'm glad all of us managed to turn up. Next time if see CBF riders on the road, do ask them to check out this thread (uncles maybe some problem cos they don't use internet haha)

Hope that we can have another outing soon, maybe something interesting like doing some DIY or routine maintenance together. Cheers!

hi guys!

anyone facing vibrations when travelling at 65km/hr? but the moment speed increases to 70km/h vibration ceased.. is it due to the ''un-seasoned'' bike?

Hi there,

Just like to add in more abt my CBF 150 experience. First of all CBF 150 is a exciting bike for transportation. relax and stable. With its long body frame and low center of gravity, riding this bike give u the satisfaction that u reach ure destination refresh. I tested everytime i pump full tank of 13l. The bike hits 430km before it hit reserve. Maintening is a breez. With no oil filter, all u need is to change the engine oil and spark plug.

To all those who need a good bike for transportation. CBF 150 is all u need.

If your bike is still new, most probably it is due to that reason. But dont worry, once the bike is seasoned, the vibration will disappear itself. :cheeky:

Hi there, nice to see another CBF rider around. Ya, CBF is quite easy on maintenance and also a pleasure to ride on. Hopefully next time round, you can also come along for a meet up session. Hee hee...

At this point of time, some of you may have noticed that I have actually posted an advertisement in garage sales letting go of my CBF. I certainly hope that this is not going to dampen the spirit of my fellow CBF riders. The reason for me to do so is because I am going to take over a car from my ex colleague. It is surely going to be financially tight for me. Thus, I decided to start looking around for potential buyers for my bike to see if there is any in case I really cant manage. Nevertheless, I will try my means to preserve the bike for leisure usage since I luv to ride bikes. Hopefully I am able to substain both vehicles at the same time. God bless me.

Aiyo, dont say until like that. Maybe I will still be keeping the bike if there is no keen buyers. A bit heart pain to let go also.

Based on the first meet up discussion, all agreed that CBF150 is a heavier 2B bike. This is advantageous for the bike's stability when riding in strong wind or beside heavy vehicles unlike some other smaller 2B bikes which tends to sway by itself which can be dangerous if the rider does not know how to handle it properly. The riders also mentioned that the maintenance for CBF is very economical with only the need to replace engine oil and spark plug. Fuel consumption is also excellent with an average of 39-40km/l. Therefore, all riders agreed that CBF is an economical and practical transport bike for everyday city commuting.

Some of the downside of this bike is that because of its weight that the rider need to be careful when parking or doing slow turn so as not to topple the bike. Stock tires can be slippery on wet roads and smooth surfaces like MCPs. Therefore, riders of CBF are recommended to ride slowly and carefully when coming to such ground conditions. The original throttle grip can also be a little slippery esp for riders with hand sweat. A top speed of 110km/h may be boring for those who are looking for speed thrills and torturous for those who are doing long distance riding.

Hope that the above write up can give a better idea for those who are intending to choose CBF as their next bike. Currently the offer for CBF150 is $4.3K based on quote from Bike productions.
