Do you guys have this problem that when u pillion and go over hump u bottom of ur exhaust will always hit the hump.

 

Is it my bike too low, I too heavy or my r6 suspension bo power liao. Haha.

U can adjust preload and compression at t shock.

Good Evening guys... Anyone got any ideas on installing a GPS on a R6? and Is there any portable kit that can help us to tilt our bike a little to lub our chains?

true enuff...cbr n gsx have stock dampers or electronic damper in it.dunno y r6 nvr put it.its better to hv 1 tho

 

I think cos they know most r6 sure change dampers from the stock electronic ones. Not much personal settings for the electronic ones IMO. Hahaha

And the r6 looks horrid when its dirty. Especially in red white theme.

 

Was thinking of going down to riding69 to do some grooming - worth it? Cos i'm too damn lazy to do it on my own.

I think cos they know most r6 sure change dampers from the stock electronic ones. Not much personal settings for the electronic ones IMO. Hahaha

I've done mine there cos I was lazy as a couch potato! Good clean bike is what you'll get! Worth IMO!

I did my fork preload once but the time it took a newbie and number of braincells killed were numerous! I'm not a nuts and bolt guy. LOL

AAR for my TPS fault:

Did 1 last dismentle of my bike, check throughly every single bit and found out my (acclerator) throttle cable was abt to snap too. Mayb tis cld contribute to my earlier fault.

 

So wat i did was, strip the whole throttle body gif a nice servicing and cleansing. Clear all grease/dirt ard the engine area & air box, lube all my croupler connectors. Hopin i wldnt need to change the TPS, jz the cable.

 

Fix everytin back and went to 'well-known' shop nearby the nex day coz didnt want to go far2, scared cable snap. To my dismay, stock nt available need to order. So LL go my 'regular' shop, riding @ 50-60kmh. Change cable, tings back to normal bt im nt satisfied coz initially was code error TPS problm.

 

Tat very nite, i tested my bike here and jb. My instict was right and ive save cost by jz changin the cable only. Hard/slow/fast riding, nothin occurs, everytin kgo....

 

Cost of TPS: $180 ea (need 2)

Cost of throttle cable: $110

Cost save: $(180 x 2) - $110 = $250

That's why I usually do my own diagnostic before listening to what shops have to say. Afterall they just wanna earn lol.

Throttle body wash DIY more cheaper bro, save $100. Hehe...bt of course u need own time n knowledge to do all tat.

 

Me stayin hdb, mostly 'repair/service' @ void deck. Bt of course need to do it properly & cleanly. Always talk to my neighbours on the 2nd storey if im doin sumtin aloud. Lucky for me gt karung guni uncle living in the same blk. Always buy big cardboard frm him to cover the floor if im doin sumtin messy. Sometimes i get free...b friendly wif ur neighbours.

 

Throttle cable consider cheap already bro, agent sell $90-100 bt DIY. Shop sell $110 gd enugh already plus installation. Sometimes need them to do for us too, abit lazy at times if wanna DIY everytin. Btw cable need to replace as set if either one snaps. No single replacemnt unless McGiver

 

Fast throttle its personal prefernce or regular track kaki. Me hdb carpark track kaki, few times champ during my younger days 'sponsored' by GT. Hehe....
