Hi, i am riding a 05 R6 , recently when riding half way the engine will stall, the light is still on, its like the kill switch was activated. And i unable to start after that, as i try to press the starter button , nothing happen , not even crank sound. after 5 min or trying afew time then it will able to start again.

It will stall a few times during the riding, its extremely dangerous.

Does it happen when your bike is fully warmed at 100 deg celsius? If so, your EO could be too thick or too old.

Interests on overdues is a killer. Better to negotiate a settlement amount, pay, then engage a debt collector to collect the $.

according to my mech, 10w/40 is too thin for r6 as the rev is high n its veri hot. it wont last u the mileage. my amsoil 10/40 onli last me 3k mileage. nw using motul 15/50.

15w/50 or 20w/50 will be ideal for r6

My R6 can last me ard 5k-8k max on Motul 300v 10/40 for normal riding mode. Aggressive mode 3k-5k. So far engine no problm.

Well, Class 2 bikes tend to depreciate alot more. Its usually for those who can stomach the depreciation and change bikes regularly, or those who tend to ride it on the weekends and keep the bike for long.

and yes, i do miss my R6 haha.

Different torque and power characteristics. Don't see a need to rush to sell unless new models are very cheap (which I don't think so) or if the existing machines are hitting the performance limits now (which I also don't think so for the bulk of the riders).

Its a new generation. Like a carb r6 and t new efi r6. totally different price.

Truimph is having 3 cylinder in 675.

Yamaha has long hav t tech of 3 cylinder in their engine for other vehicles.

check in webbie.

Carb to EFI is totally different technology. Inline 4 to 3 cylinders is just some changes in crankshaft, mapping, porting, bore, stroke, components. If change to electric, then it's a major shift :)

From 4 to 3 cylinder is a major change. And likelyhood will b major cosmetic change too.

Size of piston bore different. Power delivery different.

It is a totally redesign engine from new!!!!

Can only wait till 2014

Hi all, have a qn to ask. I have 2 offers currently, a 07 stock r6 at 10k and 08 stock r6 at 12k.. Is the extra 2k worth the $$$ ? Apart from slightly minor fairings changes, frame and internal engine mods. Is it really worth the extra 2k? Also I heard 08 models are more reliable compared to 06-07. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks a lot
