I've got 2 set of H.I.D 8000k watt(its damn bright cum abit bluish)

 

every set comes with 1 X H.I.D bulb , 1 X Ballast and

yeah, i heard about it too. but i dunno how true as i've not experienced it b4.

i heard the reason is that in EFI bikes, the fuel is "sucked", so the last 1 litre or so cannot be accessed to. unlike the carb model where petrol more of kinda like flows into the carb. EFI works differently.

i'm not too sure either. best to leave some extras in case something happens like hor lan (lost way) or miss exit gotta u-turn. and you know in msia, god knows how far the next u-turn is, then after u-turn, if no petrol kiosk in sight, you gotta ride back the distance you rode for the u-turn. thats double of unecessary journey

btw, wen ur petrol runs out (reserve oso jia lat) u can't start e bike anymore.. crank as much as u'd like but e bike seems to juz b lifeless.. it happened 2 a fren of mine..

dun think it really matters if reserve petrol runs out completely. dun think it'll harm the bike, be it EFI or carb. the only thing that will be harmed is the fuel pump... if reserve run out and u pump petrol and still cannot start bike, then just open-close throttle a few times to activate the fuel pump, no?

 

of course, best is not to let the reserve tank reach empty. cos doing so will only shorten the lifespan of the fuel pump...

It is only bad for the fuel pump upon low petrol in tank, as it would require the pump to work harder. If it is totally empty, when u turn the key, nothing getrs primed iN, thus no starting upon cranking is normal.

 

So when you top up fuel, turn on the key once or twice so the fuel pump can prime in the new petrol, should not have much problem in startin after that.

from the manual, 17L tank capacity. 13.5L of usage before hitting reserve tank of 3.5L.

 

nobody can tell u how much it can travel cos everyone's FC is different. you find out your own FC and then do the simple maths to find out~ =)

 

i'm doing 20.5km per litre.

previous owner of my bike doing only 17km/L

 

my friend is doing 21-22km per litre.

 

so really, find out your own FC and calculate urself~ =)

i learnt that for carb models you can push start when the batt is weak or flat...

but for EFI... cannot! as the batt supplies the "life" to the ECU unit... so batt flat is as good as gone! better take care of that batt there hehhee...

tat's the downside of it. Even when the bat almost die, the carb bike still be able to travel abit.

yupz, wat i meant was jia lat = u can't proceed n it won't start unless u pump petrol la... ryte..? no petrol = cannot start..

my previous cbr1000 twice coil burnt. batt totally flat. i'm able to push start it

ya, true eddy... i think my fren's r1 batt weak once... tried cranking 2 start but it won't but push starting did help... btw, any1 noes whether push starting will harm e bike's components...? rect, cdi, coil, crank shaft etc...?
