for my 06 model its hold the select button.. then it wil change to km/h..

 

i think 05 is prees the select and reset together while the igintion is on

Does anyone riding 07R6 facing a yellow warning light appear on the RPM meter.If yes what is the problem.

 

i experienced the same light on the track the other day. somehow it went off so i thot nothing of it. it's the small yellow light on the meter itself right? beside the red one with a key sign? i tried digging for my manual but somehow can't find it. any opinions?

ya i aslo digging from the manual it say noting just go Agent check..Wanna to know what wrong with it....Before send for checking.

Anyone else experience this problem can share with it?

run a diagnostic check via the built in self-diagnostic function.

 

To activate the self-diagnostic function :-

 

1. Turn the main switch to “OFF”.

2. Disconnect the wire harness coupler from the fuel pump.

3. Press and hold the “SELECT” and “RESET” buttons, turn the main switch to “ON”, and continue to

press the buttons for 8 seconds or more.

 

"dIAG” appears on the odometer/trip meter/fuel reserve trip meter/stopwatch LCD.

 

4. Press the “SELECT” button to select the diagnostic mode “dIAG”.

5. After selecting “dIAG”, simultaneously press the “SELECT” and “RESET” buttons for 2 seconds or

more to activate the diagnostic mode. The diagnostic code number “d01” appears on the clock LCD.

6. Select the diagnostic code number corresponding to the fault code number by pressing the “SELECT”

and “RESET” buttons.

 

Check back on the list of error codes in the SERVICE MANUAL for reference with your error you noticed. It might help you dictate certain simple errors.

I would like to ask a newbie question. What is the average speed during your running in?. And when should i change the engine oil 1k km or 1.5k km?. And what km does the running in is done, so i can ride a little faster? -R6 07 Thanks again my fellow meantors!

get it done on dyno. then u can ride as fast as u want as soon as u want.

i've looked up the owner's manual. i think the orange light he's talking abt is "engine trouble warning light". which can be found on page 3-5.

bro, i think u can monitor for a while la...if the light still there u can go do the self diagnosis thing liao.

05R6 can hit 60km more..

please take note if you ride at higher rpm like 6k-8k.

the fuel comsumption will not be that good..

As i was coming to a stop the rpm drop until zero & engine die off. 2nd is that when i reach carpark & going to park my bike using 1st gear at that time, while letting go the clutch the enigne also die off. Anyone here can give any advise what really happen??? As i read from international webby that this problem happen on 03 & 04 model but never expect to happen to my 05 model. So sad:cry: If anyone here had encounter this problem before do drop a reply soon. Tks in advance

Error Code 18 you saw in the diagnostic mode refers to :-

Fault Code : 18

Item : EXUP servo motor (stuck)

Symptom : EXUP servo motor is stuck

Able/unable to start: Able

Able/unable to drive: Able

 

Not a very big issue. Prob some cable jammed or something. Of if you did change aftermarket exhaust. Worst case the ex-up servo is spoilt.

 

Just remove the heat shield (in matte black) just beside the muffler via 2 allen key and double check that ex-up valve area (cables).

The OEM owners manual is the super duper tones version. The Yamaha SERVICE manual is the one with a full 419 page maintanence manual. Throw me a CD-R/thumbdrive and i can pass it to u if needed.

Could be a low idling as suggested by HelmetBoX. Check that first, but i doubt since you have ridden 2000km w/o any issues.

 

Might be a TPS problem, but would be a pain in the *** if occurred at such mileage. Run a self diagnostic for any error code stored in The best bet would be to bring it for WARRANTY claims should it occur often.

 

But before you hit HL, maybe you can run through the diagnostics (no.62) first , to check for any history of errors that might have occured/recorded. If there is diagnostic no.63 should show the error codes, and you can get some info from it.

any idea which bike shop can i go to change my speedo backlight? Default is green , wan to change either to red or white. Another thing is the two front pilot light anyone know wat voltage> My ride is R6 01model.

RPM too low, hmm... whats rpm reading spec when engine already warm up?
