i wanted to get tat bike too.. but i found it abit too over priced and HL onli brought in blue (i wanted the black).. wat a shame

 

well.. in the end i realised i oso wanted more power.. so i hope yamaha will come out wif a wr450x in the near future..

but i think even 525 to 520 doesnt save much weight, think the most weight save will be changing to carbon wheels... while i type i alredy dripping saliva.:angel:

Wrong..the best weight saving measure(also cost saving) is the rider to slim down...shaving off 2kg off your body mass is cheaper than 2kg off the bike!! :cheeky:

 

Still..anyone with the same symptoms as my bike? I realised at ard 6k/rpm and above, my bike start to vibrate and buzz..

 

Is this normal?? :giddy:

yo i jus got it 3 days back at chong aik near mustafa. $60 comes with shock alarm. but i think its sensitive to heat too. whenever i use it after my ride, it will sound for about 15 mins without ppl touching my bike. recently i did a experiment i use on r6 straight after the ride, its sounded then i change it to my parked gsr400, it keep quiet. so in my opinion it is sensitive to heat, especially to a bike which gets so hot after a ride.

but i think by reducing rotating mass compared to stationary mass is more beneficial. If u dun believe u try tat on a bicycle, change to a carbon wheelset and u know wat i mean. i been using carbon wheelset to race on bicycles for 5 yrs alredy.

i have this too.......above 6pm some buzzing sound. but cant realli sure wads is tt sound..

Well, I can't be sitting around hoping that they come out with a WR450X... Who knows how long would that be.

 

Anyway, the WR250X is a all new motard from Yamaha so the price would also be very competitive. The DRZs has been around for the past 4 years and their engine has not gone thru extensive revamp. And the DRZs comes stock with those ugly-a** rear lights and mortar lookalike endcan. No offence to DRZ owners but when put side by side with the WR250X, I find that the DRZ is quite outdated already.

 

Anyway, had enough fun with my 08R6, except for touching the engine, my Darth Vadar had gone thru race conversion, with all that exhaust, race fairings and blah blah blah. Will be back with the 2010 R6! :D :D :D

 

Meanwhile, time to have fun sliding aroud corners with the new WR!

There's a small black knob to adjust the bite feel for the brakes....
