I just ordered a FZS600 Engine Guard (black) at HL Yamaha, it cost me $165. If the shipment fast is around 3 weeks, slow leh...dun thk:cry:

 

If any Fazer rider here want to order the original engine guard, mayb can go to order together, mayb can save for the shipment time...anyway, just mayb lah...

hmm.. think I know the source for the engine guards.. denmark.. I emailed them about the FZ1 guards and its out of stock on their part., sianz.. hope its not the same for your case....

ai yah katana ur is custom make wht~ not need to wait leh~ I need to wait ~let say unlucky, mayb 6 mth leh...that really "ride" me crazy:cry:

 

The guy at workshop( a bit fat fat, but a nice guy) told me their part fr Holland, somehow he said Holland side always have problem, sometime computer, sometime shipment, mayb next time they will say weather no good...funny excuses...

 

dunno wether we can order by ourselves? can save time n $$...anyone try before? I searching online bike acc shop, anyone have lobang pls post ah~~

the previous batch of fz6 brought in by hong leong only have silver ones. heard the next batch coming in will be april, can check with Hong Leong if they are bringing in the blue ones.

ok, FZ600 (New o3-04 model) u can look n buy at most of the big bike shop, price can reference fr this topic.

FZS600 (old 02 model) I saw a silver one at a bike shop locate at Lavendar St...machine price he offer me 13500++ I forgot the shop name...but their signboard is green, opp the arai&cusion shop( at the corner) if u interest, can go down n have a look.

i thk i might wrong...the FZS600 machine price is $13200, excluded IU, Ins etc... I got mine at Mah Motor, $13500 otr. Most of the bike shop thk I got a great deal

no lah, the price is for FZS600(02), excluded IU In etc...Mine is FZS600 (02) lah...not $$ to buy the FZ600 (04) lah...I'm poor man

That's where I got my engine guard from for my Fazer1000. It was abt a year back and the Euro wasn't very strong. Dealing with them was fast and good. All correspondance was done via email. I sent a bank draft to them which reached them in one week and I got my engine guard in another week's time. Took the guard to a bike and paid them $10 to fix up for me. The guards are steel not stainless steel but very solid.

Seng kwang engine guards are made of stainless steel & very very strong, so that explains the price. But they design in such a way u cannot corner too low, if not sure scratch the ground! ... Happens a few times myself.

 

Katana777, if u going track i advise to remove them if not corner a bit scratch already.

this afternoon went to MotorWorld, just like Katana said, "no much" stuff for ours.

 

have to say, be a Yamaha rider in Singapore is sad. Spare Part less and expensive, after paid money still need to wait for long long time. No many accesary, mayb if u lucky can find R1 & R6 hugger...for wht?? I told u already, my bike is Fazer 600, old model~ There r some many models in Yamaha, why just R1 & R6 have acc? Even quite a lot of Fazer 1000 & 600 riders around, it just seen like no help for this situation. Last few days went to Hong Leong showroom to see R1 2004, but be frank, the "showroom" really...hai... Why Honda can have a great showroom, but Yamaha cant? Mayb people will say, because Yamaha not popular as Honda. But think other way, this kind of facility, marketing, brand image, service backup, how do make Yamaha popular.

 

That day Mah Motor's boss told me, Yamaha have best selling at 03 in worldwide, thats why the Fazer04 is more expensive then the Suzuki GRSX 600(machine price). That tell us, Yamaha really can do good job in other countries, why Singapore can not? Is that the time Yamaha Singapore authorized dealler really need to think? ... Otherwise, just sell my Yamaha Fazer, buy Honda CBR600RR, less trouble...

 

Anyway, just my opinion.
