Jay Leno had a good comparison...

"What woman really NEEDS a Prada handbag?"

Answer is of course - no-one needs a Prada handbag, just like no-one needs a plasma screen TV, or to fly Business Class, or to eat Kobe steak, or to pay for a country club membership - there is no logical reason for any of these. Personally I prefer the answer from my childhood when asked why I want to do something I don't need to do or ride a bike bigger than I need to carry 110 kgs - 'Because it's FUN'. :) :) :) Which is why my latest bike is 8.2L :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Good gracious! You managed to import the Boss Hoss into Singapore? Wow! Congratulation dude!

My mistake for the confusion - didn't manage to get import approval yet so bike still resides in US :(

the answer is very simple man...

people buy it for the BRAND, LOOKS and for their PRIDE.

what's the difference between a honda and a HARLEY DAVIDSON?

you say honda, ppl will be like.. ok, so?

you say HD, ppl turn their head look at you liao.

when you hear a loud, big bike go past you, you'll be thinking "wah.. HD. swee la".

the same goes to clothes mah... why ppl buy polo ralph and armani and etc? they're just clothes mah... but can cost 3-4 maybe even 10 times a normal shirt etc. it's for the BRAND, LOOKS AND YOUR FACE.

What doesn't kills me can only makes me stronger.

Saw this Cairo highway on the net. Very rugged da.......

Yes we have long open highways, the picture shown is outdated and that is not a highway, I dont know about Malaysia's to compare it to cairo's, we have 4 lane highways now, and we have two lanes too.

I'm not riding a cruiser but at 120-140 km/h cruising speed, my 800cc bike consume less fuel than my 400cc bike. Not forgetting there's still plenty of torque left to overtake beyond 140km/h on the bigger bike.

How much does petrol cost in Egypt? Just asking...

from a marketer's perspective...

salesman: what customers want may not be what they need

manager: who cares, as long as they buy n pay

salesman: what customers need may not be what they want

manager: needs don't up sales but wants does, sell them what they want and make them happy

manager: if they didn't want, its your job to get them to want

:cheeky:

but wants DO

sorry, i'm the grammar nazi

Correct, cannot be street legal - because, as it weighs more than 400kg, it cannot be classified as a motorbike under the regulations. (The LTA staff were extremely helpful and responsive to inquiries by the way).

I had simultaneously made inquiries about insurance and - no way, no where, no how for a V8 bike in Singapore.

Hi hi...As for my opinion, it doesn't really matter whether it's a small of big cruiser...As long as the rider enjoys the ride, that's what matters most...And don't forget about the gal behind too, hehehehe, if she enjoys it, why bother to think about small or big cruiser....I transcend from small CC bikes to a big CC cruiser because it's just like taking the PSLE up to the Master examinations...It's like you do have the urge to upgrade and that's most riders do all over the world but it's still up to the rider personally...By the way, there's going to be a cruiser meet-up next week on the 2nd, look up at the thread that's posted for the meet....It'll be great to have all of you over and we can discuss further on this matter and i do believe it'll be an interesting and educational topic for that night for all of us...Hope to see everyone of you at the meet...See you...Armofpeace....
