My friend's pillion actually cracked a lorry's side mirror with his helmet!!

He was waving to a chick by the roadside and BOOM! his helmet hit the lorry's side mirror

Well, i encountered a kuai lan driver before. When approaching the traffic light, I was inbetween lanes expecting to be able to squeeze between cars to get to the front. Infront stopped 3 cars already. Then this a****** driver close the gap on purpose when i tried to pass him.. Lanlan have to pull back. Damn pissed. When he stopped, i was in the mid of his car. I look at the space, got space to squeeze but have to use my handlebar to knock his side mirror before i can go. So i waited for greenlight, opened my throttle, whacked his side mirror and zoomed off leaving that a****** honking all the way 5 cars behind.

the was once at orchard rd travelling on left lane, suddendly this car cut my lane n i have to e-brake.....so i honk but driver dont seems to care...ok nevermind,at traffic light, i knock the window n ask him did he saw me ,he tiam tiam.than the wife say :u dont know how to siam meh (some more smile n laugh at me like i dumb) i ask the driver knn like tat u can pass licence than the wife say: ya lo like that pass one( still smillin n laughin)I STRAIGHT AWAY SHOW A INTERNATIONAL HAND SIGN FCUKIN CLOSE AT HER WIFE FACE N RIDE OF .

has an experience where i hit the side mirror of a car and i quickly wave and apologise... lucky it just 'folded infront'... nowadays, some side mirror can be really expensive (esp those with signal lights ones).

 

now riding bike with side panniers, become very careful... esp on expressways, if i noticed that there are bikes from behind closing in, i will even go into the middle of the lane to let others pass first... not nice to 'road hog' kekeke...

My side pannier slight knock a pickup near it's rear metal latch.

Before I could recover, the driver open his driver door and blocked my passage.

I apologies as I had always done so, but the driver was not satisfied.

So I tio him and ask him what he wants as I already apologies and it's my plastic against his metal.

He reluctantly let me go. (My first experience with such driver)

After reaching my destination, I check my pannier and ... not even a permanent scratch!

i think i had the worst experience so far but i guess somewhat i got pretty lucky

i was squeezing inbetween stationary cars waiting for the green light when i misjudged & smacked into a volvo's left mirror, lost control & whacked into a cab's rite mirror before falling down.

i picked myself up & pushed my bike to the kerb b4 returning to apologise to both drivers. i saw that volvo's mirror actually broken into pieces. not jux the glass shattered but the entire side mirror assembly dangling off the holder. but the cab did not even have a scratch.

the volvo driver never at any point tok abt the damages inflicted on his car while the cabbie keep grumbling away. the whole time the volvo driver was only asking am i ok, do i need to go to the hospital etc etc

as i did not wish to hold up the traffic, i passed both drivers my name card & ask them to call me regarding the compensation

the cabbie did not call me but the volvo driver did & still he only asked abt my well being. i insisted on paying for the repairs on his car, that is before he told me how much the damn mirror cost. a whopping $600!!!

i told him no matter how expensive it is, it was my fault & i still have to pay or he could claim against my insurance. i asked for his contact number but he refused to give me & he never called me again

in my past 2 year plus riding, i've only hit a side mirror once.. a camry... the driver was real friendly... i apologise and he juz gave me a nod and waved back...

 

then there are the drivers/cabs who see u from their side mirror and purposely drive as near to the dotted line as possible when stopping at traffic light(i dun squeeze when moving, only when stopped at traffic junction)... drivers like them i hate and would stare down at them before moving...

my experience is not thru squeezing but turning right at junction. as usual, we bikers will cut outside to get in front of the line..but this car instead of turning right changed his mind and accelerated straight ahead. his car brushed my gf leg and my elbow hit his mirror which smash to pieces. as he cant stop in the middle at junction he keep horning and i quickly finish my turn to the right. lucky nothing serious happen to us.

i believe its a right turn only. its the right most lane on a 3 lane road.and all the cars are turning right. so yeah i guess it is.

no..coz it was already clear to turn right..but the a-hole accelerate fast by then me finish right turn and he already cleared the junction going straight. all the cars in front of him were turning right btw. i also panic coz just had my bike and that was the first time , so i sped away.

he kept horning all the way.

There was once on the ECP in heavy morning traffic i was lane splitting in between the first and second lane. I was next to some car and when I was just about to clear he suddenly moved in so close that his mirror ended up just behind my back. That was seriously a WTF moment. And at that same moment, traffic on the first lane decided to slow down and needless to say he braked.

 

Felt my box hit the mirror hard, bike wobbled abit, regained control and just sped off. Didn't even think of the car after that. Was just thankful I didn't fall!
