Spoke to him, he is ok except for some abrasion & back injuries. For his back he need to monitor closely. A taxi was responsible for the accident.

Actually dun matter lah which bikeshop. The one that he gets the best deal. Just grab it. Its the duty of the owner to do his own homework. Not like my future sis in law... GRrrrrrrr... Got a f up start up bike. Italian piece of shiet.... Just cos she using P plate.. Can't believe the frens she brought along also IDIOTS!!..... Just went 1 day around singapore just to get the bike semi fixed. I foresee a faulty valve.. Meaning either replace valve or remove the block... Mite as well get a new bike sia... In this case.. Kaozie's words comes to mind.

which shop did you go to? If you check the bike shop in Alexander Village then i suggest you to forget it. Never Never step into all the killer shop...all their knife super sharp and can't be trusted.

 

Some shop their price is higher but when the end part you will reduce lot of problems when you selling off the bike. But is still up to you to deicide cause money is yours...hahaha.

am going on a kl trip this weekend and was thinking of whether i need to fix a wind shield anot. average speed will be travelling at is about 150. if yes, what are the recommended windshields that have good effect. i dont want a windshield that looks nice but doesn't help. like waste money.

 

also, apart from chain, tire pressure and lights, what are the other pre-ride checks i need to make? please advice.

Get the aeromax aka ermax windscreen(Motoworld). They are more sturdy and provides better wind blast. If u got the moolah... Get wat the gadjet master has. The givi windscreen(219 motorshop). Power coverage. Pricewise.. Gotta check yaself dude.

 

Pre-Ride check:

Check wallet got money or not

Check passport if filled the white card

Check if u informed Mindef if u goin to stay there longer than 24hrs.

Check if u have worn your helmet

Check if u got bring spare underwear in case it rains heavily.

You will need to bring along life buoy (malay says Boya). Heard from the news this few days will be raining heavily in Malaysia causing floods in a few areas.

 

As for windshield, get those that goes high like MRA, Givi. Its a bit pricey, but does the job. The pre-ride checks you suggested are OK. Just dun forget to bring, tire flats equipment, spare spark plugs, strings/ropes and cloth tapes. Should be ready to go. Oh ya, check out the location of bike shops there. Incase in need of repairs.

To me if you wan cheapest, you need to do your own homework. For people like me lazy, go visit the big shops....like MAH, Looise or ASP. Less chance of kena chop. Hope that helps. If all else fail, bring someone senior in buying bikes to these shops.
