Actually I believed correct size of the tire is dependent on rim size and that acceleration isn't more dependent on rear tire size as compared to rear sprocket size. Probably, there will be a slight disruption to the acceleration due to the larger tire being heavier but only ever so slight.

Just stick to stock size. Using a smaller size will cause it flatten out in order to fit the rim size. Not good.

Apparently there are many discussion about correct tire size but almost none of them is about acceleration, it is about stability.

Here are the links for the these discussion, and they are good read.

Actually, the cost of making a new key will set you back $70 when duplicating using the Original from Loois. Or so they told me. Otherwise, when there isn't a spare key available for duplication, you gotta change the whole ignition-key module, that cost....ouch!

For OEM Suzuki parts, try KS Motors along Jalan Besar. Just opposite of Regina's Specialties.

Hey all, I got a pillion bar back from Loois today. I bought from them Feb this year, not much freebis but later found it a K7 model less horsepower, disappointed. The mech which already fixed my rear box so badly till only 3000KM my brancket break. Then I realise they should hand over my handle bar when I took the bike. Luckily the mech not there anymore and Mr Ahmad really found one for me. Now can sleep well lol. Not bad for aftersale. TY Lexanez and Ej for help. 09 model is it the one with ABS?

what are the street legal exhausts for gsr 400?

and why are the shops no longer selling new gsr 400? :(

Currently Yen is quite high and so, being a parallel import model. The shops aren't really keen in bringing this baby.

Aftermarket exhaust for the GSR 400 is only limited to several options, one being eliminated since Yoshi decided not to produce for '08 GSR and lower. Now, the only reputable ones available locally is Leo Vince.

Great. You need to get a new bracket for your top box now?

Anyway, ABS is available from '08 model onwards. The GSR is powerful enough without the additional horsepower. Don't worry too much about the horsepower increase. Besides, for touring and street riding, this baby is more than adequate.

Anyway, this is the distribution block that I set up

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y88/lexanez/IMG_6148.jpg

This here is the Relay, with a 5 pin connector which is used to connect the distribution block, battery and a switched power source

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y88/lexanez/IMG_6150.jpg

This is the Distribution block with the in-line fuse (Inside is a 20A glass fuse) on the left side. The fuse is meant to be as close as to Vs to prevent shorting of your electrical component, should there be a surge.

The red insulated male spade is used to connect to a switched power source (I.e Licence plate light) by splicing into the wire using a T-tap.

Oh, will there be anyone interested in getting these tire valves? Air checker tire pressure valves

It allows you to check whether if your tires is in need of air. Kinda eliminates guesswork when should you pump your tires.

I've spoken to the supplier and he has confirmed that there will not be additional shipping charges apart from the common cost of USD$2.49. He also have stocks for 36PSI and 42PSI which is suitable for people who pump 250Kpa and 290Kpa respectively.

Hi Mr Fried Rice,

I do still see GSRs around in these shops....ask them because some of the shops keep the newer bikes in boxes on a pallet awaitng lucky owners....Saw them myself in boxes i mean. =) Good Luck..

Thats just across the road! Congrats on the baby.

Anyways guys, I've been having a problem recently. Had the exact same thing with my Suzuki Bandit before I traded it in for the GSR.

My bike will suddenly die off as I'm riding. Happened thrice already. It tends to happen once within the first 5-10minutes of riding and then the rest of the journey will be fine.

When it dies I'll be freewheeling and then I'll either restart it using the starter as I freewheel or once I accidentally 'pushstarted' it as I let go the clutch (didn't know it had died on me). Pretty peculiar situation here. Is there something serious here that I should check it out?

Last time it happened on the Bandit, I changed the entire carburetor but the problem remained. Thats why I let it go. Wonder what it is now. Sekali I'm cursed ah? haha

What is your idling rpm? Mostly due to too low. Adjust between 1.1k and 1.3k rpm as suggested by the manufacturer's manual. And no by adjusting that much does not consume too much fuel.

Hey Bro, I also once encounter such problem. Initially, I tried to clear carbon and it does work for awhile. after that I finally manage to solve the problem by adjust the idling to a higher one.. 1.2/1.3 will be ideal..
