gosh.. then what i'm doing is wrong..? so u suggest maintain 5000rpm after 300km? then after 1000km maintain at 6000rpm?

bro, its not that u r wrong..

The main idea when running in is not to drag the bike at high rpm for too long. when i was breaking-in mine, after 1st EO change i ever wack to 140+, but jus short while. juz ride normal. It's about rpm, not speed.

Safe riding.

Dino--> thanks 4 the CD that day, n also the tips

boy boy--> Can still order the t-shirt or not?

then i must go china with my VFR liao...

hahaha...

doesn't take longer distance to break in for bigger bikes what. In fact, bigger bike if rev to 4k rpm will reached 120kph liao so no need control your rev. So fm Sing to Hatyai 888 come back change oil at Penang just nice break in liao!

anyway, i miss wildcard.

haaa.. okoks... i will just maintain my bike by not whacking it to high rpm first.. yeah...

Do you want to make your run in faster complete?

actually i dont really mind the process cos the speed for me is ok when i go on normal riding.. but by faster what do u mean? go malaysia? haaa...

Try not maintain the same speed for any of the journey during break in. Play with gears. City riding the best for soft breaking in.

anyway, i miss wildcard.

For all people who have heard but don't know about what is hard break-in/Run-in

This is the Site I was Talking about.

HARD BREAK-IN

yup! i use the hard run-in...open throttle hard, change gear, open throttle hard, quickly close throttle, drop gear, release clutch..

my super 4 i use soft run-in, this gsr i try the hard run-in. so i wanna c the difference. got to experience it oneself to know. :)

practically my first 1000km, my fuel consumption sux big time as i drag my gear... hmmm full tank can last abt 180km only....

actually regarding hard or soft running in, its very subjective n due to personal preference. everybody got their own way of running in. no matter wat the webby says, it can b of the truth or other wise. unless there is 2 bikes, one using hard run in n another using soft run in, after 5000km, open up the top n c wats the diff, then we know.

end of the day, the owner buys the bike, he do wat he believe is best for his bike for his entire ownership.

for me, i did a soft one n there's no turning back as in which method to use. just hope the bike is fine.
