Man I love the 954rr... Guess what? My poor fuel efficiency has been solved!

 

One night I actually went up to Kulai for some 'clear carbon' activity.. And voila! Now I get 260+km per full tank..

Anyone knows where or has a stock 929 speedometer for sale?

Past: KDX200, LC4 400, LC4 620, GSXR750WR

Planning to sell my 929. It is 9+ years old so COE expires early 2012. 100% stock, in perfect mint condition with less then 25K on the clock. You believe it when you see the bike ;-) Have another bike and a car hence the low mileage.

 

It's the one in my avatar. Picture is 7+ years old but the bike still looks the same today!

 

What would be a fair price?

Less than 25k?? Omg! Thats Superb!

 

I dunno whether it helps but a stock FW plate 954 with 80+k on the clock w/o COE renewal fetch around $7.5k.. Sad but thats the market price for it.. I seriusly think a 929 or 954 is worth more than that. But oh wells...

I know they don't fetch much :(

 

I was thinking of asking maybe 5-6K but am not sure if that's realistic. I mean, you get an AWEFUL lot of bike for a bargain but the fact the COE is about to expire will probably scare buyers away. New COE is about 2.5K I think.

Yeah what you say is true. I try putting myself in the shoes of a potential buyer, Ill be quite hesitant. I guess the purpose of COE of not encouraging people to keep old bikes and buy new ones is working. =(

 

But such a waste to a beautiful and reliable bike.

 

In my honest opinion.. Keep the bike or give it to a relative that will love and take care of the bike.

 

Other options I can think of is:

1) Renew the COE and keep on riding or myb sell the bike after COE renew.

2) Deregister and sell abroad (I dun really noe the whole process but I heard ppl doing this)

3) Scrap the bike and sell the parts separately on ebay or forums. (Sad one.. Not to sure whether you can fetch up to 5-6k or not)

 

How abt sell to shop? How much they offer u?

Haven't been to any shop. They would offer low anyway, otherwise they can not make a profit. I'll sell it if I get a reasonable price for it. Otherwise I'll keep it. Don't need the money actually but 2 bikes and a car is overkill.

last time having the spare for touring purpose in case it snapped..

929 use different/special spark plugs? Is it the size or something? Sorry for my ignorance.. Curious to learn more.

 

Think 929 uses iuh-27d, and 954 vuh-27d...no friggin idea what's the difference. haha, sorry i'm being a noisy noob.
