the opening play an important part too..

i use the injector wif the opening small like the red tube from a WD40 can..

:)

I have lost a couple of such tubes due to close proximity between the tube and sprocket. So far the heat shrink method works best for me.

i done a DIY type will post when i got my camera back.

1 week later

the material

2x air c o c k from fishing shop.1.50ea

1 end thread/the other side for tube

1x plastic jointer 0.10ea

1M of hard plastic tube 0.50/M

1.5mm2 pvc cable FOC(to make the pipe stiff)

plastic bottle 120ml FOC

2xrubber washer FOC(to prevent leaking)

nut to secure the thread(for air c o c k below the bottle) FOC

steps to do up the thing.

1.drill a hole on the plastic bottle CAP(hole size smaller a bit than the thread put 1 washer,so can screw in tight)

2.drill the bottom of the bottle same as the above but with nut to secure it.

3.attach the bottle to body frame

4.measure the length of pipe to the point you need to drip.

5.cut the 1.5mm pvc cable with 10mm trim off facing the bottle and 70mm trim off facing the point.(note cable is 30mm longer than pipe)

6.slot the pvc cable into the pipe, attach the jointer at the rear and about 30mm copper is out.

7.secure the pipe to swingarm using cable tie(hand tie can already, too tighten oil flow is restricted)

8.attach the remaining plastic pipe to the top cap and link it to somewhere you can keep it clear of rain OR somewhere at fuel c o c k,ignition with a valve to on off the air intake when not riding

9.check oil flow by adjust the valve.

DONE:angel:

reason why i choose the 1.5mm pvc cable is

the 30mm end can oil the chain well.act like a small brush.(is like big point flow into 7 pcs of copper thread)

its flexibility and stay in shape

less space in the tube as cable is slot in,slower in oil flow.

my flow rate is set to about 1 per 1+minute. I am using eo from carrefour, brand is "total". Still flings like no tomorrow, but the chain looks well lubed. So far have no problem with flings on tire.

What I do is use the heat shrink bought from sim lim tower, leave about 1 inch excess. After you shrink it with fire, it becomes a very flexible injector for your oiler.

very cheap and good oil.i think 5sgd plus.

i using my car leftover mobile 1.

will change to left scottoiler when i change my chain to x ring.

got a question ah.. using scottoiler now. understand from this thread the part that needs the lubrication is the O-Ring seals, not the roller. so the scottoiler oil-tip shd drip the O-Ring right? but in the videos and pics of installation, the angmohs stick the oil-tip onto the rear sprocket. by doing that, dun tink the oil will drip inside the O-Ring. oils will be on the sprocket and not into the O-Ring.

anybody can clarify? hehe thanks.

this is diy chain oiler thread.. there's a link to the scottoiler thread in this page.

ok but anyway, the tip is stuck onto the rear sprocket, and it will drip into the O-ring.. at least that's what i observed..

for those that did the diy chain oiler.. what did you guys use at the tip to channel the oil to the O ring? cos my oil-tip dropped out somehow and i looking for replacement instead of the expensive scottoiler 1..

u can purchase the green or transparent connector from aquarium shop..

the hole can be further narrow using a red tube that get from a bottle of WD40..

if u dun hav, can use the cotton bud stick.. juz cut both end and get yr tube..

extra tube left over put for fun.

things needed for the project

all items can buy from fish shop

1.2 pcs of air valve(1 side thread/1 side nose)1.50each

2.1M hard tube(longer if you need more)0.50/M

3.2 pcs of nut for air valve(try digging from motor shop)it free

4.1.5mm cable can get from me.its free

5.cable tie(daiso/lelong shop)1-2dollar

5.bottle(free just find @ home or use water bottle)

6.plastic tube jointer 0.10dollar i use it because i find look neater and ends of tube is harder

find the place to put your bottle

think of the route the pipe is going

drill a small hole not bigger the the valve thread at the bottom and bottle cap.

screw in the valve

use the nut to tighten the valve

inside bottle use a pen to hold down the nut.

strip the cable ends.

push the cable thru the tube

remember to leave abt 1 inch away from valve.

secure the bottle using cable tie

secure the tube using cable tie

the reason i use 1.5mm cable is

instead of dripping on chain

i use brushing pattern.

if need any help or wanna view how my oiler set-up can just call me 94515020

i think you have to travel from jurong to hougang to see.

u miss out the cable tie, bottle and 1.5mm cable.

cant find any small enough bottle so now try using a small fruit tree fresh bottle(250ml) but thinkin of using 2nd hand pump reservoir(if can find), cable tie have but still finding 1.5mm cable at home.

did a test run using bottle and stick a connector at the bottom using epoxy but still got leak..

ask around many shop to find nuts for the valve but dun have the side..

go bike shop

look into the screw box, alot of many screw and nut u can find.thread might not be 100% same but comfirm can lock the valve at least 2-3 turn.

i never use epoxy i just use a small rubber washer between the bottle and nut(inside the bottle).
