ya lor same ah.... my ps2 got no stratergy games some more u know.... i just play Age of Empires 2 demo..... demo u know.... pity sia me...

lol. i too cheapo to buy comp games... age of empires also like very hard to find sia and command and conquer is expensive as they sell the whole volume....

My PC canoot play games. Not for gaming.knn.

 

Anyways I love RTS game. Like Dune 2000, Emperor: Battle for Dune, Command & Conquer (played all series). AOE, Star Wars battle, Star Craft(havent played the new one). Heard HALO also coming out right?

 

I also like to play 1st player game. I dun own any Xbox 360 or PS2 or 3. My workplace got Xbox360 Halo3. so have been playing till final.haha. Unfortunately the PS3 doesnt come with game but more to Blue Ray movies on a home theatre projector.

Emperor: Battle for dune old game liao. Its after Dune 2000. Like the final war. Its more better than the Dune2000. Coz its better 3D graphics plus you can get alliance help. Like Harkonen with Saudakar. Ordos with Guild. Atreides with the greatest Freemen Warrior(better chose atreides for the Freemen alliance). Plus extra things they can do.

 

I dunno if JB still sell this game coz its kinda since 2003.

the kinda strat games i like r those not of the war types, u know like those u guys r talking abt..online games such as mmorpgs like RoT & there's this flash-like game battleon.com is nice..heehs..==)

its a game that you can never solo.

 

teamwork is the key to win

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

 

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment,and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

 

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

RTS is pretty cool.

 

But turn-based is still more intriguing and involving.

One of the best turn-based I've played : the classic Jagged Alliance and Jagged Alliance 2.

Its better than X-COM, each character / mercenary with their own personality and ability to work / disagree with each other...

I highly recommend "Rome Total War" if u wan a mix of both turnbased n realtime strategy games. Has been playing it for almost 2yrs alrdy. First u play the campaign which is in turnbased, whr u build ur empire n recruit ur army. Whn in battle mode, it changes to realtime whr u can control every unit tat u ve.:thumb: :thumb:

bought a laptop solely 4 the purpose of playing command & conquer 3 :)

now eagerly waiting 4 the release of red alert 3 soon...

definitely agree with xdir. the total war series is one of the best turned based strategy game out there. play it and u'll realize how deep the game goes. it's not just about warring. everything comes into play. diplomacy, economy, technology, civilisation, etc.

i think the pc is really, the only platform for deep strategy games. still playing Civilization 4 at the moment. the recent age of empires 3 was quite disappointing to be honest. haven't played the new C&C yet. there's not alot of new strategy games at the moment that interests me really. i'm still playing the old ones (simcity 4, pirates gold, fm08).

 

hope that they'll make a new Fallout or a new Syndicate.

definitely agree with xdir. the total war series is one of the best turned based strategy game out there. play it and u'll realize how deep the game goes. it's not just about warring. everything comes into play. diplomacy, economy, technology, civilisation, etc.

This game rocks the first time I played it at a fren's.

Its a deeper version of Risk, pooling all your resources into building an army strong enough to defeat your enemies and expand your empire.

 

I'm always playing as the English forces and the first unit to be researched should be the Irish Longbowmen.

Simply the decisive force in any battle.

Art imitating life: Battle of Agincourt is where the English king had 5000 longbowmen out of his total 7000 force.

Every battle, my longbowmen will outnumber my melee and calvary forces by like 4-to-1.

Nothing like a huge rain of arrows to send the enemy into a state of panic.

But I'm in trouble if the battles takes place in rain conditions....

Replaying it after getting my laptop.

Do check out the mod patch. Over 500 types of weapons added, including our SAR-21 and Ultimax SAW.
