Hey revo riders..which shop did u guys bought ur revo? Any shop to recommend..thx..

Best is to go to a few shops and survey the pricing before you buy... A word of advice is to ask for price breakdown, check and re-check before you put your signature on the dotted line...

Not every bike shop will treat you the same...

Good luck on your bike shopping...

Prince range should be around 14k to 15k, +/- a little...

That clip-on is available from Webike Japan. Brand is Hurricane. Not sure if we can get it from other sources. Can be installed on any CB400 Super Four.

yes, you can order it at Motovation accessories or Kelvin Unique motor. It is only for Vtec 1,2,3 and Revo, not for Ver S

I believe its for easthetics purpose and a more sporty posture cos your clip-ons are lower in position than stock handlebars.

I'm looking in to getting clipons for my revo for a more sporty position. Will contact Kelvin from UM to see if he has any if not will try to source from Webike or elsewhere.

Before doing all that have 1 question. A few days ago I undid the 4 allen bolts holding the handlebar lowered it a few cms. What I found by doing this is that at full lock the the tip of the bar would touch the tank and would no longer be able to utilise the steering lock. Will the above clip ons do the same?

I don't want to get it if I can't use the steering lock and or the tip will touch the tank at full lock.

u mean u lowered the triple clamp to lower ur handler bar is it?

how much have u lowered?

no idea dude, just wanna know more. is it a must for revo?

it's not a must, IMO i will do it at 100000km.

you can do injector servicing every 20000-30000km if u wan to, but personal preference, can also dun do.

Dun touch anything tat is working fine will do.

Yes that is correct. I'd say not more than 1-2cms. I've put the bar back in to it's original position as I could no longer use the steering lock, the tip of the bar would touch the tank and potentially cause damage, making u turns became harder as there was no longer full lock and steering became difficult at low speed.

Is it the handle bar is adjusted towards u thus u have a more upright seating posture?

therefore when u lower, the bar end will touch the tank.

i lowered one inch and nv encounter any clearance problem.

lower more than 1.5 inch is not recommended as the header below will be glazed against rd humps

No I am trying to achieve the opposite in a more sporty position therefore lowered the handlebar. But as soon as I did this I encountered the above mentioned problems.

I've emailed these guys asking about their clipons and sent them pics of my bike to see if I will have clearance issues. The clipons are AUD99.

Did a few read ups and max tolerance for any bike to lower your clamps is not more than 13mm. Do not do more or you will cause unnecessary stress not designed and engineered for your frame.

I undid the 4 bolts and pushed the bar down from the grips.

This is stock level and the clearance from the tank (under horn button) is literally a few mm's.

I got a reply back from that company and they advised below. Do you think the difference of 2mm will be an issue. Actually just got another reply and they came back with this;

--------

Hi

Sorry if the forks are 41mm the clipons will not fit unless you can get a 1mm sheet metal sleeve made up to go around your forks

Regards

Matthew

-----

I belive you would have 43mm forks, and yes these clipons you can position in any fashion.

When i have tank issues i normaally flip the clipons upside down and move them out straight so they dont hit.

You shouldnt have any issues with these clipons as they are fully adjustable.

Let me know how you go with them

Regards

Matthew

What you can do is fully lock and adjust to the max that it doesn't hit your tank. Well, aftermarket clip-ons are usually fully adjustable. Gd idea to get them. Just get the right size.

There are a few clip-ons that fit our fork.

Graves Motorsports

Woodcraft

Vortex Racing

COnvertibars

Thanks for those, appreciated. Will look in to them and get one.

Had I lowered the fork then the tip of the bar would have touched the tank without rotating the the handle bars towards myself. Yes I rotated the handle bars towards myself. I think getting one of the clipons above will be my only choice to achieve a more sporty riding position without sacrificing steering lock and tip of bars touching tank at full lock.
