Hi guyz, im thinking of downgrading my cbr1100xx and gettin a new revo, but now on the road seems quite pricey due to COE. Just saw a 1yr old revo FBE plate at one of the shop, rarely saw 2nd hand revos... Would it be a good catch? Ive had s4 spec 1 before, carb bikes easy to detect any probs but i dont know about the s4 FI. My current bike also FI but, should be the same i suppose...

2nd hand bikes is always a 50/50 thing.... Revo so far any major issues?

Just to share my experience.....

I bought a 2nd hand revo recently, also a FBE plate. However it is modded with a FS yoshi and the fuel comsumption is v high for revo. Abt 18km/L with my riding style. I changed gear on 6k rpm and only use vtec when i am in expressway.

Other than the high FC (which only happen for my bike), there is no major issue for revo.

Hmmm... FC issues is one of my concern, bike looks perfect to me (externally). Mod include leo vince slip on... Afraid may be like your bike wif low FC. My blackbird now on good days can reach up to 15km/l. Have to really consider i guess...

mine has no problem, a PC can solve the FC problem if any.

Riding style affects FC too

hi guys. i really like the revo now and i think i would buy it as soon as i get my 2A.

but dun mind me clearing some doubts as i dont want to jump into buying a revo and then regret it later.

1) Whats the average FC for MOST 400cc bikes? ( Assume normal riding style )

2) Is REVO considered one of the higher FC bikes among the other 400cc bikes?

3) Is REVO considered one of the higher FC bikes among the SUPER4 family?

thats all for the moment. thanks for any help. =)

1) 16-30km/L, FC varies an depends on various factors and type of bikes.

2) No.

3) No. FC varies an depends on various factors, riding styles, riding condition, mods to bike etc....

Hi people, anyone used race shield on their revo before?

Will it affect the lacquer in long run? Because of the hot sun n stick it on it.

Yes, i using it.

It will not be affected for a few yrs, by then u should change another set of raceshield due to wear.

Thanks!

Good afternoon guys,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this qns but here it goes,

What do you guys use to clean your bikes rims? Esp the back one. Cause It's been a while I last washed my bike due to the rainy season, So the back wheel is really filthy. I used the "lemon degreaser" but not very effective I would say.

Thank you for your inputs guys... :D

Thanks ramsnake. However from what I know, the charging system for lithium and lead acid cells are different. If not handled correctly, the lithium cells may overheat and catches fire. I don't know about those by cypher. May give it a consideration when my existing battery expires, but I hope to read more feedback from existing users if any.

Yes you are right, lithium tends to be more sensitive than lead acid.

However, both battery technology uses CC/CV (Constant current/constant voltage) charging.

For VRLA (Valve regulated lead acid) battery, charge is at (usually) 1 Amp constant current till 14.4V (max), then constant voltage at 14.4V until current drops to very low level.

For Lithium Nanophosphate technology, 4 cells in series is what we need. The full charge voltage happens to be exactly the same, 14.4V. That is what makes batteries like Ballistic, Full Spectrum Power etc able to be used in our applications. These are also much more stable than the Lithium-Ion-Polymer technology used in handphones and laptops.

Why are they "more stable"? Because the chemicals inside are less reactive than those in Lithium Ion Polymer cells. What does this mean? For the same capacity, they are heavier than Lithium Ion Polymer.

I can show you a Lithium Ion Polymer cell that has the same capacity/voltage as a 8 cell Lithium Nanophosphate cell. It's only 200g, instead of 650g. But those are too unstable to be used in our applications.

Again, I've been using them in my own bike for about 3 months already, including riding in track conditions (PG / Sepang), heavy rain, hot sun etc.

I am my own guinea pig, test rider, whatever you call it. I won't sell something that will cause myself to get sued for sure!

:)

My bike is stock! Please don't jio me!
