Hey guys, just finished reading through the entire thread :)

I'm in Thailand and have just bought a 2009 Nouvo Elegance. I love it, but there are a couple of things I'm wanting to change and I was wondering if someone could help me?

The previous owner put 17" spoke rims on the bike and I'd like to buy some mag wheels and then put 16" Dunlop TT900 rubber on them.

However, I ran around to all the tyre shops today and the only one that could get me TT900 could only get them in 17". And yet reading through this thread and googling other stuff, it seems plenty of people have put 16" TT900s on their Nouvos.

Am I right? How can I get my hands on some of these? I don't like the skinny IRC tyres at all, I'd feel much more confident with the Dunlops.

Also, as it happens, I'm going to Singapore tomorrow for a few days, so hopefully I'll see some nice Nouvos around :)

Thanks!

I feel that in spore u will have any trouble getting a 16 inch tt900 as most bikes in spore usually prefer to fix their bikes with tyres from dunlop or bridgestone.. But maybe u can ask ard some shop o have more choices of tyre brand like duro or michellin.. Do drop by ah boy shop when ur in sg as tyres are cheaper there..

hi buddy.. u can try wing yap motors at balestier rd.. they have stocks for 16inch dunlops..

anyway, dont ever go to ah boy... they are scammers.. this is from a personal experience and also feedback from most of my rider buddies...

Thanks for that! I've seen Wing Yap mentioned a few times in the thread.

Would be good to go there and have a chat, it's hard doing it in Thailand since I don't speak much Thai and most places just say "don't have" to me.

Thank u for the reply, :thumb:

Agreed, last rode the nouvo mx in Krabi many years ago,

No power...

For tyres, will do some homework in bkk...

Might change to wider tyres for stability...

Lots of goodies there as compared here, cheaper too

Most important is economical... Fuel damn x these days!

local agent for the YSS suspension is Chong Aik International along Desker Road

however they only carries the suspension without the extra canister by the side,

price i can't remember... less than $80... U may want to call them to double check.

I wanted the extra canister ones (G-seriess)...

may check out the GAZI suspension in BKK...

legal exhaust? I guess U can't get any.

ever popular brand LeoVince and GPR also don't make.

Sigh...

I guess it's not so high in demand as compared to X1 and Spark.

closest u can do is to get a LeoVince for X1 and Spark and mod the header...

but remember to save extra $500+ just in case kena stop by the Authorities...

Thanks for the info! Do let me know if u manage to get the G Series with the extra canister! I want to upgrade for my Nouvo Elegance as It is 3 years already! I guess that is the mod that I can do at the moment!

As for the Exhaust System, it is disappointing as I dun wan to trouble myself to change back and there!

How fast are you guys able to go on your Nouvos?

My 2009 model has 37,000ks on it and won't go over 80. My old 110cc Mio did 95 and it was a lot less powerful, which makes me wonder what's going on.

I get to 80 pretty quickly and even when it hits 80 it feels like there's more power left. I'm not sure if the engine is just old and needs a rebuild or what. Now I'm wondering what else I can do to make it faster.

One shop here in Thailand has said they can bore it out to 150cc, anyone have experience with that?

Is your bike new? My bike was like that when it was new! But after the running in, it is better. My top speed is 120km/h with box!
