Alex, I suggest u laquer those guards before fixing, else guarantee will start to rust very soon!!! I am laquering my rear signal now, already have some ideas how to mount it on, once I customize the mounting bracket, I'll go Dr Koon's fo fix up the wiring, my electrical work not so 'zai' better get a pro to do it...

mad, I'll be waiting for the saddlebags, gonna try to customize some mounting brackets for that too... :D

:btw: I think those guards will look just nice on your bike, Alex.... spice up the black fenders a bit.... won't suit my bike, though...

no need meal lah. at 1st hor, they say have stock, then I check the bags not same as the ones I 1st brought in. So I asked them to go and make as I want the same as last time, plus one more w/o studs loh.

Only thing is, w/o studs also same price, couldnt get it lower...actually, some of the item pricings already went up, saddles and some of the items that is made of steel, but no worries, this time, price stays for the coming stocks.

Well, I'm gonna DIY the mounting and Ask Dr Koon for help with the wiring, so need to pick the option that is most feasible.

A) Beneath the rear fender

Pros

- looks better ~ same concept as HD (I think so too )

Cons

- kindof low-mounting, maybe vehicles behind me cannot see.

- need to drill hole on the fenders ( I xim tia leh) and even so, may have difficulty with the mounting.

- difficult to seal the cutouts behind the center bar, will accumulate water in the rain..

B) Behind the number plate

Pros

- higher mount, vehicles behind can see better

- heck of a lot easier to customize the mounting bracket

- easier to mount

- I already have some ideas to seal the cutouts from rain

Cons

- doesn't look as good as Option A :cheeky:

need to think about this more....

I mean, if your bike always under rain and you dont take care of it, over time, will rust. You know, even stainless stain will rust if not taken care off. Over a prolong period of "bochap", will it rust I would say.

kavo

Can mod, but certain things are no-no such as exhuast (can fix, but at your own risks). By right, even crashbars are illegal...

There some pics of the saddlebag in the gallery. Take a look there. Under my signature, have a link to it (Modded Phantom Photos).

Personally i think behind the number plate looks good and its easier for other road users to see you, so safer.....
