imo, i just think that 2 inch thick handlebars is totally totally way off for phantoms.

bike body so small, not suitable with such fat bars.

even for harleys and chops, i think none has that so far and it even don't complement it too.

it's just like the saying "mouse on elephant"

kiamh / Small Machine :

I've measured the handlebars, to be exact, it is 1.5 inches in diameter. Almost 4 inches in circumference. It looks more like the crashbars I'm selling, rather than the forks la.

I agree, it'll not look that good on stock phantoms, but if you've changed the fenders and added a tank mod, it'll look awesome!

paradoxicalz :

Yap, quite alot of parts are taken out. Now, it's in a transition phase.

theyasman :

No problem, just take note, all 3 handlebars are not of the same design.

Pics will be up soon. :)

Po_oN85 / DragonLee :

I'll post up the pics on my webby and here, hopefully, tonite!

I always believe that anything is possible IF you have the right resources.

For Phantom forward foot controls...

From an engineering point of view - DEFINITELY possible. However, I have not heard of anybody doing this modification, nor have I seen any ready-to install parts.

If you want to do it, you will need to find a skilled fabricator and mechanic to either buy parts from other bikes and mod it to fit a Phantom or fabricate everything from scratch.

Needless to say, the $$ involved will not make it worthwhile. Perhaps there are Thai-made parts that will fit, but I'm not sure...

From a performance point of view, when I installed K&N filters, I experienced a slight improvement in pickup, at the expense of slightly poorer fuel consumption.

IMHO, the main benefit of the K&N filter will be cost efficiency. Even though the K&N filter for Phantom costs about $68, it is washable and will easily outlast 5~10 of the stock paper air filters (at about $20/each). In the long run, this will translate into cost savings.

Lastly, before anyone asks me where to get the filters, please do a search on past threads, there has been many previous discussions on this.

From your siggy, I see that you rode an SP for almost 2 years. The riding posture of a sportsbike is much more uncomfortable compared to a Phantom.

I'm sure you will get used to it in no time.
