I am a woman who tower at a height if 150cm and weigh 45kg, aged 21 but looked like a damn kid, can't even ride a bicycle and recently enrolled in CDC class2b...

my short legs cant touch the floor even on a lowered yamaha125, as a result i cant "peddle" as well.

first lesson, fell down 5 times, got my left side all blue black, still cant even balance.....Deparate and in doubt if I can really ride...*squattin in corner drawin circle wth tears*

need some advise from seniors here..is there learning centres which provides even smaller bikes? I've considered to lengthen myself with platform shoes-____-ll

anyone with similar cui3 experience pls share with meTT thankyou!

i have a fren who didnt know how to ride a bicycle when he first enrolled either. he's 1.6m plus, and small built. anws, he was persistant and even though his frens were quite discouraging, eventually he did get his license.

Now, he's thinking of enrolling for 2A after his probation period. Funny thing is, he still cant ride a bicycle.

Its a matter of how badly u wanna ride, and how strong ur passion is for riding.

Good luck yaw!:)

be confident. slow is not a matter. master all the skills well is more important. All i can say is " if you are willing to do so, u will get it in a matter of time."

I dunno if this is gonna help u or not....

My GF is 1.53m tall, weighs 44kg, and is holding a CL2 license since 2004. She started off with a Phantom, then to a Super4, then to a Fazer 6. She has even ridden the R1 a few times without too much difficulty. We're now looking towards getting a FZ1.

U don't need platform shoes. What you need is to wear good riding boots that have good grip and traction on the soles. A bike is light when fully upright. And all you need is confidence to see you through.

I'm also quite a short frame guy only about 161cm. And cannot use a lowered seat cos that time instructor say need to reserve for ladies. But then still passed. All it takes is getting used to the bike.

When riding proper, the only time you need to put down your legs is at a complete stop. I guess there might be a need to paddle the bike alittlebit in the learning centre, but other than that, once you've familiarised with balancing and controlling the motorcycle with the throttle, you shouldn't need to put your legs down except at a complete stop.

You need to practice... falling down is part of the process of learning how to ride a bike. Just don't give up.

Anyway, I believe you can tip toe with the bike as of current. Once you've got your licence, there are bikes which are lower which can give you more confidence with riding.

Once riding becomes second nature, you will have no worries. Important thing is just to relax while riding.

Should learn bicycle at the same time. Helps the balancing alot.

i 2nd that! beg, borrow or steal a bicycle during your free time to practice!

you'll be more confident if you can balance on a bicycle...! Saw plenty ppl who have never gotten on a bicycle & PASSED! Don't give up!!! jia you jia you! :thumb:

Try doing what the ladies does on scrams, when stopping, shift your bum towards the side so that your leg can reach more to the ground.

You can use one leg to straddle, as long as you are able to maintain your balance.

Don't wear platforms, you will have problems changing gears and there is high risk of injuring your ankle if you lose balance.

dun give up!!

i fell during 2b, 2a and 2.. i just look at it as part of the learning process..

think i fell the most during 2a.. kakakaka

having said all that, besides being taller and heavier than you.. i'm also an older guy.. .. so u can still fall if regardless of ur physical configurations..

dun put pressure on urself and go thru the lessons at your own pace...

in the end, i passed all my pract tests on 1st attempt w/o ever owning a bike.. .. still..

promised myself i will get one this year.. keke

just keep trying. you'll get the hang of it sooner or later. of coz it is true that you might have a height disadvantage. but at the same time, it is still possible.

dun give up, keep trying, cuz u win half the battle when u try, and u lose the battle when u give up..it's a matter if u want it or not..u can take as many times as u can go, and in the end it'll be worth it when u get ur license..it's not much of a matter of ur height, matter of ur will..i'm not short, but my journey was tough on me..some pple discouraged me frm riding, while many others encouraged me to go on..and in the end, it was all worth it -imagine the estatic feeling- when i got my license cuz i didnt give up & kept on fighting even tho it feels so sian to go on..envision & keep in mind ur goal and tell ur trusted frens and family abt it..their encouragement will push u closer to ur dreams..

Good Luck!

friend who know me close know that i took 3 years to get my 2b after the 5th attempt .... it all boil down to your passion and determination. blue black from falls, scorched by the exhaust, when the instructor lose patient at u and raise their tone, other learner laughing at u. trust me perserveer till u get the license, u will realise what u have gone through is just a small hurdle in your life

Dun think about how hard life is to get a licence, think how easy life is when u get a bike! Can go anywhere u want and still cheaper den taxi, no need to squeeze with ppl in MRTs & bus, shiok and FUN, get home within 20 mins etc. You must "pay" before u get something, rite? So just pay ur dues and u will get ur licence and ride on the roads soon :thumb:

i guess if u go for a few more practices, u'll be able to get it.. getting stability is actually an easy thing to do.. n it CAN be done no matter how short, tall, fat, skinny u are.. it all boils down to ur will n determination.. i dun think u really need to peddle ur bike.. coz when i learnt riding from SSDC, the instructors really doesn't like 1 to peddle.. they only want to see ur left leg on e ground only when u come to a complete stop.. n exactly when e time u move off, ur left leg must already be at e footrest..:) for stopping, maybe wat u can do is bring ur body nearer to e left so that u'll be able to easily get ur feet on e ground..:D do get urself stabilise though.. maybe putting more weight to e left i can say.. well hope it helps.. if there's any part in my post which is inadvisable, hope someone can straighten it out..:thumb:
