[Discussions] Electric Starter Not Working

i have a wave ss 125. and riding after a year, the electric starter start not to work and i have to kick start it every morning. Anyone have the answer of this and what should i change to make it work again. sorry for my english is not so good, thank you:P

bro mayb u can try posting in wave portal someone there might b able to help u, cannot crank start there are quite a few possiblity, could b ur starter motor spoil could ur batt, it could b ur switch connection too, so u have to guage urself whether which could b the possiblity.

i do not what is cranking sound sound like, but when i press it work abit but sound like no electic to start. but i can start by kick start.

mine need to press a lot of time den can start...somemore after engine just started the sound is very weak and will engine stall anytime...but after abt 10mins of blowing throttle den everythin ok alrdy...anyone know wat happen?

i do not what is cranking sound sound like, but when i press it work abit but sound like no electic to start. but i can start by kick start.

 

yup. your battery run out. cracking sound that you heard come from starter gear that can't spin the crackshaft.

 

try not to use more than 3x times at the same time when starting with electric starter. after using it 3 times... wait for 5 min, because the battery need delay.

maybe your engine has compression leak.. you said when the engine warm enough it will okay. it because when the piston warm, it will expand and closed the cylinder extra gaps.

 

Compression leak will make you exhaust fill up with white smoke.

my friend help me adjust the timing of the wave & its better now,but wats the disadvantage of settin high timing huh?
