the only regret possible is if you wish for the power of a 1000cc instead. coz honestly, for a modern sportsbike, what could possibly be lacking in the CBR600RR or any other 600cc for that matter yah?

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

bro is 220km per full tank excluding reserve normal for a person riding always on the pie at at least 100km/h ???

i'm using a cbr600rr ,year 05, with akrapovic slip ons n k&n air filter ....

typically the 05/06 model will hit reserve between 200 to 240km, depending on riding habit.

the mileage you are getting is entirely normal. in fact i only get 200km to reserve.

and no point changing riding style just to get another 10 or 20km out of it. its a sportsbike, ride it the way you want it.

i oso notice on my daily commute to work, where i go only 10km total back and forth, the mileage drops to only 180 to reserve. wkends when i go out further the mileage can be as good as 210km. thats an increase of 30km simply from riding out further per trip, and thats not something i can control.

now i just heck care mileage and ride how i want. on expressways i cruise at 110kmh in either 3rd or 4th gear only, at between 8000 to 10000 rpm, where the powerband starts. and whenever i in front of traffic lights i pull out and drag first gear as long as i can just to feel the surge as it climbs past 7000rpm. the joy i get from riding it in its powerband and feeling the surge is not worth sacrificing just to squeeze out another 10 or 20km. its more important to me that i climb off after every ride with a grin on my face rather than a frown worrying about its fuel.

Great choice bro!

You may want to consider replacing the stock wire harness to the HRC class, as the stock harness have a built in power cut device.

The prob is when u have the HRC harness,

the bike becomes keyless...

tunning becomes more detailed then PCIII

but the best part is the HRC ecu cost abt the same a a PCIII.

however a HRC harness is definitely need to have the HRC ecu installed on the bike

which many motorshop in sg cant tune.

with great speed comes high fuel consumption rate

(with a tone in my head following the spiderman rythem)

Hi guys, goin to tk my class 2 coming end may...

Wud like to ask, is there any reviews on 01 CBR600 (din knw wad's the exact model), shud be PGM-f4i...Izzit running on fuel injection?

It shud be a good learning bike for a newbie coming up lyk me...

Juz wan to ask any ideas on its servicing, FC & performance wise? Cuz its a 01 model, therefore its hard to compare wif latest technology...Need some guidances frm all experienced CBR riders....

Intention to ride for a while b4 getting a 1000cc one which is a dreambike to me...

Thanks lots!

james, the 01 cbr 600 is more commonly known as cbr600f4i, there are too versions for this model. one is the touring one which has only 1 big seat for rider and pillion and the sports version which the pillion and rider's seat is separated.

the cbr600f4i is definately a gd bike for new class 2 riders. after changing 3 class 2 bikes, i still feel the handling of the f4i is the best among them. fc wise is gd considering the factor that it is a sportsbike.

CBR600F4I SPORT --- JAN 2005 - JUNE 2006

YZF R6 '06 --- JULY 2006 - AUGUST 2006 (STOLEN)

GSXR 1000 K6 --- DECEMBER 2006 - ???
