Hi Mr Magoo,

Could you please advise the address of the shops which i can get hold of the givi topbox brackets? If possible, the model no. of the topbox bracket as well so that when i get there i knoe how to check if i got the right one.

Will be heading up to KL mid dec. But not riding up cos my family will be travelling together.

Thanks in advance for the help. Cheers.

Topbox bracket;

Mechinda Bike Accessories, Pertama Complex, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Kuala Lumpur.

There's only one model and its marked Gilera Fuoco. Don't know the model number, sorry.

My box of goodies arrived saturday, a Leo Vinci full system and a Malossi variator kit.

Check out the 5 KG difference in weight of the standard mufffler against the Leo Vinci

Wasted no time fitting the Leo Vinci on my Fuoco. Nice sound, a little louder than standard. It seems to rev better and there MAY be a slight acceleration improvement. Top speed remains the same.

This morning i jumped on my Fuoco and headed for my favorite twisties, in the hills of Awana. The weight reduction makes an immediate difference to the rear suspension. Its definitely more pliant and less prone to wheel hopping.

Here's a shot taken by my friend of the action in the hills, in the company of knee scraping sparring partners........

All i can scrape were my centerstands......

But this new capability unvieled an evil side to the Fuoco which surfaces when ridden hard.....the brakes sucks BIG TIME.....it bites well...BUT....it fades badly and the lever comes back to the grips after just 7 minutes of hard riding. This is despite changing to DOT4 Brembo brake fluid.

I had a scary time and very nearly hit the back end of an 07 R1 entering a corner.....

Suddenly my Fuoco is not quite as outstanding as it was........

suggest u source for after market discs. those that have the wavvy design. And better quality brake pads. wat u need now is a disc that cools fast. cos wat u experience is brake fade. nothing to do with the Dot 4 brake fluid that u changed.

There's a unit on display at the NBW

Get one, its really good. The brakes however needs some work to avoid fade when used for hard riding....

love it.......

Took the Fuoco to the Sepang Track day. Not fast at all, but it was not the slowest bike there. Very good on the brakes, managed to outbrake many sportsbikes, but it was hopeless everywhere else.

The bike was limited by the CVT gearbox, mainstand lever and tang on the left, manistand tang on the right. Tends to stand up when banked over with the brakes applied. Hit the steering lean limit a few times during hard cornering causing the scooter to run wide.

After about 20 laps i threw in the towel and took a proper bike instead.

Beautifully done. Till now i've only brought my Runner, Burgman 400 & 650 to track... Well done. You've done the Scooter community proud.

My 7 year old Tmax will probably chew up the Fuoco on the track easily. Although the power is about the same, the Tmax, with better ground clearance, can string up corners better.
