To all 2b learner riders! don't give up! eventually you will get your license.

I took 5 months and even jump school. There was sometimes where I nearly give up on figure 8 lesson but lucky did not.

Just failed my 1st TP with 24 points yesterday. 6 points for slow, 8 points for blind spots, 2 points for delay in moving off, 2 points poor acceleration and another total of 6 points for wobbling and wobbling during turn.

felt completely dazed the rest of the day.

samick - Thanks for the encouragement. Yes I'll do more RR as I believe that's where most of my points came from. Hope to pass the next time.

Thanks lkm I'll definitely try again. Doesn't make sense to give up now otherwise I'll have wasted my time and money.

All three centres publish their currently available test dates on their websites. I only found this out after signing up with BBDC. Check them out before you decide, so that you can estimate yourself how long it'll take. You need to pass your BTT and RTT before being able to book TP test. Practical lessons can start after attending BTT and RTT lessons (not test) - you don't have to wait for passing.

I wouldn't practice on your bro's bike if I were you. It's illegal and dangerous. Once you pass a certain stage, you can sign up for self practice sessions. It's almost "free and easy" on your own practice in the circuit. IIRC, self practice is less than $15 per 100min session in BBDC. Better to practice in the circuit (where your test would be conducted) than in carparks (illegal).

Hi currently i enrol 2b at cdc...14 march will be taking btt test...was wondering if cdc provides self practice sessions too...since i always hear bdc & ssdc have.. thanks...

Welcome! I did my 2B @ BBDC too. Had to wait almost 2 months for RTT....

Waiting for my RTT in April, booked in Feb (CDC) :(

That's quite a wait..... Only after I've registered with BBDC, then I realised that ALL driving centres post their available test dates on their websites. For example, if one were to book RTT with BBDC today, the test date would be 17 Mar (2wks wait). CDC is 23 Apr, and SSDC is 01 Apr.

Still waiting for Lesson 3 at SSDC.

I was really glad that my Class 2B military license and experience helped me to clear Lesson 2 in session.

Haven't even take TP already looking for bikes to buy.

I guess that's normal for most of us. Haha!

Hey guys, enrolled 2B at SSDC. Done with my BTT & RTT. I'm currently stuck at Lesson 5, 4th try and still fail. First try was night lesson, I'm usually a very nervous person therefore made alot of mistakes and failed first try as I didn't change lane properly, never check for safety before U turn. 2nd try did improve abit but still not much confidence, 3rd try I did very well except when last part heavy rain then when last U-Turn my bike skidded cos I turn too low and I had to bring out my right foot in order not to fall, 3rd try and 4th try had one old chinese instructor which is the guy who examines us from behind, really mean and talks as though we owe him a living. Starting alr kena scolding and felt very demoralised, My 4th try I was first rider and the gui lan chinese instructor was the one infront, where I started to do silly mistake was when instructor was in front he checked safety once and changed to the left lane, I checked saftey and change to 2nd lane and checked safety again then when I got to first lane, I had to brake hard and was like right beside him. Nobody taught me how to check safety once and change lane twice. He scolded me and I felt very demoralised and made mistakes throughout the whole lesson. Felt very demoralised. Any help guys? I plan to go for CR before my Prac5, want to brush up. I mean I really don't mind repeating as I did make mistake, but the comments and looks he give makes me really demoralised and make me think like "aiya this lesson fail la". Please do point out any tips and any important skill or thing to take note of. Thanks :)

I think the biggest tip is to keep trying and ignore the negativity. Learnt this skill during NS. Hahah. Don't worry. Some people take longer than others to get through. Keep your goal in mind - that's your 2B license. Everything else doesn't matter. When I was doing my 2B lessons, I treated each session like a theme park ride. Doesn't matter pass or fail - because eventually, I'm certain that I'll eventually pass. I was enjoying the feel of riding.

Good luck!!

I suspect that you've never driven or ridden a motorcycle before? Yes, it's a little sensitive the first time you feel the throttle.... But don't worry - you'll get used to it eventually!

Don't be demoralized! I did my practical 6 at SSDC 4 times when i did my 2B, i just took it as road revision lesson. It's better that you gain all the experience now than during TP this one you don't know that one you don't know

Yeah thanks a lot for the encouragement guys, I'm actually a good rider as in know how to handle the bike but when I do 1 mistake, I tend to get the mentality where "aiya sure repeat" then everything I do after that is a noobie mistake. I guess I will have to work on it, thanks alot guys. Yes I'll not give up and take it as a lesson.
