SuVespa: What was your mileage before empty tank? You put it as 80km only?

The 80km is from the time u switch your fuel lever to reserve till tank empty. The bike will go to reserve when your fuel gage needle is sumwer in the middle of the red zone. And btw, as u all will notice the fuel gage needle will only move from the 'F' after travelling abt 350-450km depending on speed. And after tt the needle will move down faster....and even faster when it reach the 'petrol pump' symbol. I noticed tt travelling at 60km/h, the needle from tt symbol to reserve the km covered will be 100km. Hence in jizzz;

'Petrol Pump' symbol to reserve------100km

Reserve to empty tank-------80km

Based on speed of 60km/h

Well just FYI

Can time ur JB topup with perfection

Or yah....The fuel gage needle will be at its TRUE position when u turn the ignition on....when the bike start moving it wont be true

outspoken: The Malay rider I spoke said that he even reached 120 km/h and abt being able to reach 885km per tank. I am still on my way. coz I have now hit 580km and at half tank. So I am still going on. Already 2 weeks since I fuelled up.

Pauche: Abt riders in the east? I am sure there are, you will just need to recognise the bike, why not go down to Bt mearh Opp Ikea beside Shee stan, BIke shop Univerasl have a look there. But you should check out what other bike shops will offer you for the bike. Try to get 2nd party insurance.

Keep all of you posted.

Outspoken: maybe you can add your full tank mileage?

Hmm thanks for the info, but if u reach 120km/hr i guess the rpm is already at red zone...im not sure whether in the long run,the piston will get seized easily.i dun think im going there, already happy riding at 100-110km/hr most of the time.

Im sure there are some pulsar riders who stays at east other than me.

Sorry guys,i actually didnt check my mileage nowadays...i usually top up my bike around 10days...only check my mileage for time to change E.O.i usually change it at 1500km and using the esso gold E.O.

What Up DaWgZ!!

Yo people!...juz wanna share about this people...when it first came out in Singapore...i was sceptical about its good mileage thingy...until one of my working colleague...who is indian national....was so upbeat about it when i told that bajaj pulsar is pretty good, reliable and very economical bike....within 2 weeks, he sold his x9 and bought himself a bajaj...currently he is clocking an average of 55 - 60 km for 1 liter...but his bajaj back home in India is clocking 75 - 80 km per liter...WOW!....juz for your info...bajaj is based on Kawasaki technology....i was told that back in India...it is called...Kawasaki Bajaj Pulsar...

Heng Motor at Kembangan is selling it at 5.5K brand new...includes free helmet, raincoat and box...

Hey all,

Just wanted to clarify something. I ride a Pulsar back in India, same spec, and the mileage is the same there, esp considering we have access only to 93 octane petrol as opposed to 98 octane here. The mileage figures of 75 - 80 are bogus.

Also the Pulsar is in no way connected to Kawasaki. The Pulsar is the first model being developed by Bajaj without the help of Kawasaki. All the previous models had Kawasaki help and was called Kawasaki Bajaj.

Anyways, congrats to all the new Pulsar owners. The best hooligan move you can make is passing and lane weaving in city traffic! Hehe... After the engine loosens up, there is a characteristic engine chatter when you rev up the engine... You know there's an angry Pulsar going to pass you up when you hear that engine note! :)

If anyone has tried after market exhausts on the Pulsar do let me know how it went ok? :)

Thanks, and ride safe!
