Hi guys, due to the rain this morning, my rear tire skidded in the carpark and I dropped my spec 3 on slow speed. As a result, I scratched this part of the engine:

*Note this is not my engine, I do not have a engine guard on.

Any idea if this cover is replaceable? If yes, how much and where can I get it? Must I drain my engine oil in order to change it? What is actually behind this cover?

Thanks s4vtec, biting_point and fraggershell! Actually the scratch is very minimal. slightly bigger than a 50 cent coin, but doesn't look nice so thinking of replacing it. Anyway i think this part is a extremely vulnerable part, from the protrusion it forms, every time the bike is dropped on the right side, I can say 100% sure kanna if don't have engine guard. But if the cover costs about $80, its about the price of a set of engine guard. Or should I just respray and lacquer it (Dono can be done or not)?

Luckily u have minor scratched... So juz a recommendation, fix a 3pts crash bar.:thumb: Chrome crash bar cost around $60. 2pts crash bar has minimal protection for the engine.

if scratches is minimum, can go bike shop, borrow a file n file away the rough part, then touch up with black spray. that shd cover the scratches. 3 pt crash bar, 2 point crash bar, or sliders, do have them fix. its better to scratch them then ur engine part.
