The best route to Cameron Highlands:

Gelang Patah (1st petrol Stop)

Pagoh or Ayer Keroh (2nd petrol Stop)

Seremban (3rd petrol Stop)

Exit 214 Nilai Utara, towards Ipoh (To escape the heavy traffic at Sungei Besi, KL)

Tapah (4th petrol Stop)

Exit 132 Tapah or Exit 137 Simpang Pulai (New route to CH, roads are much more better then Tapah)

Routes and Maps of CH, you can refer to this link:

If you have yr bike, it dont really matter as they are pretty close to each other. Tanah Rata is the biggest and busiest of the 3 towns there. There are also much more eating outlet at TR. I stayed in Brinchang but rode down or take a cab to TR for food. Cab cost 4~6RM per trip so if u got 4 guys, its split.

U can try walking-in coolpoint hotel at the heart of TR. This simple motel is located just behind the bus station and the old cinema (or used to be a cinema)

So far I have tried walking-in 3 times and all the times they have rooms.

but like all other hotels, expect some surcharge when it comes to peak period.
