Hmmmm, all I can say, back from where I come from, bandit riders claim that it is easier to break a Bandit rider then to break a Bandit engine.

I have yet to change my filter yet, but do you need to take the exhaust off to get to the oil filter cover?

Cheers.

heavier oil...depends how bad are yar springs are...if they are really soft might not help. As mentioned by my "clone" here....there is a risk in adding more oil other than fork cap poping up other things might go wrong with more pressure by oil. But on my bandit last time i added 150ml more n it worked no cap poped worked as a despatch rider whole day n nite go food delivery n also went for a couple of trips on nsh n trunk roads. So yes there is a risk ...so the call is yars to a cheap solution. So if u wanna try changing oil n see if there is an improvement as mentioned by jkaiser, contact DatsunKing who is also one bandit riders here.

hmm..for now i just try to accomodate with the bike.

dun accelerate too hard when on minor rd, cause cannot stop in time.

try once to test the bike it response...end up dash red light. scared liao...haha...

nw i onli go a bit fast on expressway.

hmm...btw the fuel consumption seem really to be the high side...i ride 230km

hit reserve liao..somemore my reserve donest seem to be feeding the bike well,

die on the rd today, was on reserve for less than 1km, lucky the petrol station is onli 200 metre away..

hmm wonder what is the problem..

btw hope to meet you guys also...so that i can up my knowledge on bandit...

my bandit sure seem there stuff need to be done, but i not really sure..

for now just i live with it...

I do not mind doing maintenance on the bandit, I am going to buy the K&N air filter for mine (YES! THEY GOT ONE FOR THE BANDIT 400!)

Anyway, it is a good idea to organise a group "maintenance" session. My place is quite ok as it is a covered carpark and is a private condo.

Hi ex bandit owners,

Do anyone hav 2nd hand engine hose tat does not leak to sell me?one of my hose is leaking minorly. So Headache!

Rgding the fuel consumption,i found tat if u try to ride ard 90km can last til 260-270 before reserve. Also depend on ur engine oil, better engine oil reduce petrol consumption too.

Go down to K.S. as I used to have a similar problem, a brand new radiator coolant hose will cost you $20, plus u need to pour out and change all the cooland and then bleed the system.

Cheers

I will be interested.

Alright guys, why don't we set 8 Oct 11am as our group maintenance schedule?

May we ask you, Danielburgess that we use your place as the area? By the way, where is it roughly, north, east or west?

Rawbanana, maybe u can coordinate on buying the KNN air filter. I can get Maxima engine oil for the group if u guys like it. Of course, we will pay each according.

How about the sparkies, coolent and oil filter? Btw does anybody knows how to change the clutch cable? I got a spare one and wanna change to see the difference..

Banditos, show your opinions.

Oh yeah, one more thing, does anybody knows how to change the meter bulbs? Mine blew out some time ago.

Well, I know how to change some stuff myself. So the maintenance session is like a knowledge sharing session. We can help each other learn more of our bandits.

Well, hope to meet u guys soon..
