Guys, already went to ask 1 bikeshop regarding the replacement of the clutch plate and housing....whether it will solve the problem etc....seems like the problem will return but when not sure.....

He recommend to change both parts brand new at least the issue will not come back so soon...

price quote...at $350 exclude EO changeout...need to replace EO.

$120 (clutch plate, gasket n service) + $230 (clutch housing, need to go and buy from agent)

Anybody knows where to get IU bracket for S4?

Not sure why you are posting here, instead of the S4 enquiry thread. if you're looking to replace the attach-to-mirrorstem type to the kind which is attached at the handlebar clamp, you can get it at republic motors. I got mine there. you should call to check stock before making a trip down.

hope this helps!

I am riding spec 1 10yr bike. Been having this clutch sound problem for more that 7 months. recently the mech at ahboy(jackson) told me its a clutch housing worn out and needs to be replaced.

He quoted 200 plus for the whole process. in the end i changed my mind and just normal servicing.

So its proven that you can still live with the embarassing sound..But i guess the next time i might just change the clutch housing at ahboy workshop.. Only downside is the shop is crowded and takes some time to do up the job.

you can go to other workshop and ask for a quote also eh. less people and better workmanship.

When touring, its usually the rider that give way first before the bike itself.

got box got tour.

Hi,

i knew that it is normal for "stone-jumping" sound at clutch area when clutch-in.

however, for my case, i wanted to kick-up to gear 2 but stuck at neutral and my rpm quite high and bike nv move so i kick up to gear 2 again, then the "grinding" sound appear. is this normal? will this spoil the clutch?

Hi guys,

I am experiencing difficulty finding my neutral when I stop at traffic junction. (Unless I off my engine then it works) This issue is getting worse, now that I clutch in my bike can still move. It's as if my clutch is not fully engage. I have tried adjusting my clutch free play, EO was changed some 500km ago.

Is this symtoms of clutch plate wear out? If so, where is recommended to go to? Some kind souls pls enlighten me.

I am having the same issue as you. But for mine sometimes can sometimes cannot. When moving to a stop getting to neutral is easier. It is harder when gear engaged and bike is not moving.

I got my bike from my friend. He can get into neutral easily. According to him, need coordination. Something like need to throw clutch a bit then kick up to neutral. I never can do it.

The revo at SSDC change gear is very easy. I am not sure if its cos of clutch plate or I am just not used to it. Just serviced my bike at HKL yesterday.

Did carb servicing, change EO, spark plug, brake pads. Gear shifting is still quite hard when not moving.

Thanks for your reply. But I have been riding for awhile now, but finding neutral had never been this difficult. Surprisingly, today there was no issue finding neutral. Strange... I guess I will go workshop soon to have it checked just to have a peace of mind.
