i'm sorry, but if the cbr1000rr8 realli is that, i gotta burst out laughing coz its so sad that its funny. or mebbe its so funny that its sad. that thing looks like the thai-made cbr150r. i'd never buy such a thing no matter how good it is. goodness, dont brilliant bike designers exist anymore...

 

You are right, it looks like the CBR150. Looking at how the 07 600RR turned out, I had a feeling the 08 Blade is heading towards the same direction. It looks like Honda took a little bit of ideas from the R6, gixxer, 1098, a cricket and put them in an oven, and out comes this abomination.

 

Maybe the CBR150 overdosed on steroids and turned into this monster.

 

Honda really needed this 08 Blade to put things right after the bad publicity on the coil issues. Looks like they didn't try hard enough.

Those pictures posted looks like a crossed between a Ducati 1098 and a Honda Blade concept bike, especially on the Front Cowl. The air-intake looks like it is borrow from the Ducati 1098.

 

The new Blade should be sleek looking, like every other Blades before.

You are right, very similar to the CBR954, perhaps they would want to hide the real look but to indicate where the position of the exhaust which exit on the right hand side.

Here an attached from a Honda site announcing their 2008 line-up for now. There isn't any mentioned of CBR1000RR8, which I think they would announce separately. Perhaps there might really be a VFR1000 to be announce with the CBR1000RR8.

This morning, I had the high res 08 Blade pix running as screensaver, alternating from the red and silver models, trying hard to convince myself that they actually look good. And I thought I had succeeded ... until I look at pix of my 06 Blade, and all of a sudden, the 08 Blade looks ugly all over again.

According to him, the 08 Blade will not go into production till Jan 08. The factory has been scheduled to churn out 07 Blades till year end. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for now.

Spotted 2 inconsistencies, check out this comparison of how the cuts on the side of the fairings fold in, both are different, and also the length of cuts from 1 bike to the other.

Honda wasn't supposed to have the pics on there media news website until the 28th.. The person responsible for updating there website accidently put the new RR pics on there.. Once they realized it they pulled the pics.. Honda tried really hard to make sure no one at the convention had any pics.. There where only 2 1KRR there... The pics that are circulating from the convention are off the display board that showed the video of the new RR in action.. .Org has it right, someone probally lost there job.. Like it or not thats the new RR, and from what was going around at the convention it will outperform any of the 1000's out there.. Personally I like my 07 better...

if the above story is true, it sounds staged to me. like Honda was deliberately intending those pics to leak. why, i donno. mebbe ground reaction while they still have time to change. mebbe those are all super-fake to fool their rival manufacturers. i mean, in a huge company like honda, how could such pics, nicely prepared on display boards, be 'accidentally' exhibited? i bet materials to be exhibited get through several layers of inspection before gaining approval, maybe inspected by Mr Honda-san himself...

 

anyway tashi, i dun see wat ur pointing at you're like trying too hard to disbelieve the existence of such a bike. but well, the bike might realli exist purely to fool kawa/yam/suzook, and the real fireblade is still under wraps... anything's possible until Mr Honda-san himself reveals the true fireblade...

Haha, my search for the truth only led me to more questions. I dunno, kinda freaky to think Honda would produce a promo video of the Fireblade Penyet to fool competitors. They are a big corporation after all, governed by policies.

 

About the accidental posting of pix, I've seen similar things like this happen before - Amazon had accidentally posted specs of unannounced Apple products before Steve Jobs' keynote, only to withdraw them later.

 

I'm leaning more towards that these pix are legitimate. Well, the 916 and 600RR3 were better looking bikes than the 999 and 600RR7 respectively. We all may have to resign to the fact that the 1000RR8 will be butt ugly.

 

I guess end of Sep we'll know for sure.

Hmmm seriously i really enjoy honda, but due to the CBR 1000 04 i'm riding, dun think i gona ride honda again... 6month burn 3 coil wtf... somemore last friday dunno what thing burn my PC3 (CDI dunno got burn anot...) if the repair gona be high think i will juz layout the bike till december n den take my bonus n change bike... *sight* hope boon siew can give me Good news

 

seriously heard from the guy call A... from boon siew say's that the electronic slipper clutch will be with 08... imagine if the electronics really gone beserk, god bless u that goes same with the R1 YETC or something also, god bless u dun wheelie anytime:dot:

Just a personel survey, Do u guys trust the Electronics Stuff in now adays bike

 

I can feel the H.E.S.D power on the road when return from 2nd link the hump when on 240km/h, its totally still. where as i tried my friend k4 at around the same speed, felt abit of tank slapping. Correct me if i'm wrong. i Got my class 2 on march only...
