(Haven't got the reply thingy working yet.

Promfret said "Australia - Perth:

Sometimes I wish Singapore had a company specializing in the Guzzi, but not like KL's. I prefer the hardcore Guzzi enthusiast's joint like Thunderbikes, Perth, Australia. The proprietor, Mario, runs a specialist - Guzzi-only workshop. Vintage to present. When Ewan McGregor did the California 1400 promo video shoot in Perth, Thunderbikes supported it a little. The place shop is seriously a biker's haunt. nuts, bolt, parts... definitely not a boutique. But stirs the soul if you are going to rebuild an older Guzzi. Mario will be a great help.

Do share what you know if you've been overseas and visited a guzzi workshop/shop. :-)

I think next post, I'll share on Guzzi Online shops. Do chip in please! "

Thunderbikes sold me Bellagio tank badges (Going on my Jackal after it's painted) Reasonable price, fast delivery. Great service.

Bro... I think the V7 Racer at Mah PL is still available. This is the anniversary model which one of the bros traded in for a Scrambler.

Thanks mate. Budget quite a bit smaller than $29K, ..... looking for used, cheaper bike. Saw a Bellagio in the flesh at Loois yesterday. Photos don't do them justice, look a bit dorky, but when you see the chrome shine and the contours, it is Beautiful.

The bellagio at Loois was sadly crashed. I would love one of those too. I might make an offer on the damaged one. Would love to make a kick ass cafe racer like this one.

The one at Mah is an used unit. Anniversary model like my previous goose. Last I heard it was asking for $19k.

Doubt anyone gotten it bro. This should be the latest California model. 1400cc of raw transverse V twin power.

This news has to be 'out of date' but what the heck ! .... dropped in at Mah Building , 1176 Serangoon Road and saw the FULL range of Moto Guzzi bikes they are now handling as part of the Piaggio group. And I thought the MG was going the way of the 'dodo bird'. Come on all MG lovers we now have a place to go and drool ... and although all bikes on show there have been 'sold' ...there is now a serious avenue for placing orders and getting proper service. The staff are helpful and the guy in charge of the piaggio group labels is a real enthusiast. So maybe its time I threw away or sold my 'rice burner' and return to the marquee !

I realised that my 'dream' tourer ... the v7 ii special or stone now comes with ABS and traction control....TC not a good idea in some situations ... but reading through all reviews / test reports was gratefull to find " I should mention that the TC traction control system is in fact switchable. Simply holding down the starter button for two seconds whilst the engine is actually running disables the traction control and repeating the procedure enables it again." So I just thought I better post this so that we all know it can be done.

The new V7ii is an upgrade from the outgoing V7. Now it comes with 6speed and ABS although I absolutely hated the bracket they used for the ABS warning light which I reckon was a slobbish job. The rest of the bike is pretty much the same as before in terms of looks. And Mah is also bringing in the Scrambler kit but sadly it's not 'legal'.

The goose V7 gives a very nice vibration and warning to all owners not to leave your helmet on the bike when idling cos it most certainly will fall off the bike. The stock exhaust note is also very rumbly and deep.

Kind of regret selling mine but am glad that at least I used to own one. Maybe my next goose will be the Audace. That's a Terminator styled badass cruiser!!

I understand that engine work such as clutch replacement is a major operation. Would like to seek your guzzi riders' recommendation on bikeshops good at moto Guzzi servicing.

I'm smitten, though both of these bikes have the same problem...........

When I ride one of them I don't want to get off it, then I get on the other one and I don't want to get off that one. It's a dilemma never knowing which one I'd rather ride, ................ but the answer is both.

Now, on the hunt for a third Guzzi. :D
