the wing rack for spec1 and spec3 is different ?

 

 

Wingrack is universal...u need custom bracket to fit to ur Spec 1...one of the place u can customise ur bracket is Sengkwang

 

ANyway guys...interested in the HB xplorer...wondering if it can fit 2 helmet?

Khai, imo, dont think it can fit. Cos H&B's boxes are always big & bulky frm the outer looks, but due to the sturdy construction, the inner space are restricted...

 

O the Givi Alu boxes.. machiam... handyman tool boxes...

Additional storage space is always better. Advantages of E21 is that you have extra storage for smaller stuff such as raincoat, bike cover, files and such. At the same time, the width of your bike is not extended sideways too much making weaving in between traffic easier. Also, easy to install and not much modifications to original bike components to be done. The only disadvantage that I can see is that the E21 cannot put bigger stuff like helmets and such.

 

For my case, my Ma'am loves shopping and I find my E36 setup was really a big advantage to me. Can put bigger stuff and helmets. When I changed my end can, my stock could even fit into my E36. Disadvantage is I have to spent quite an amount to install the rack cos I have to lower exhaust and make bracket.

 

Overall, extra storage space is really a plus point. E21 is for the everyday commuter who wants the extra space. My E36 was a weekend side box. :)

Fyi, E36 must order from overseas. Not readily available in SG unless you source ard for 2nd hand. Brand new not cheap bro, costs above 200 bux a piece.

 

When I had my E36 as side panniers, the top of the box was levelled with my pillion seat therefore, seating did not prove to give any discomfort for my pillion. The only prob we faced was for her getting on and getting off the bike. She had to step on my foot rest to get on and off the bike. She loves it when I had my panniers on cos she said she felt safer.

 

For the E21, you can got to Ah Boy or 219 to get it. Price shouldnt be much of a difference. 219 does installation on the spot but Ah Boy you have to go to workshop at Kallang. For me, I would rather buy and DIY fix it myself. At least I have the flexibility of mounting it whichever way I want.

WingRack can fit on any bike. Its just that you have to custom fabricate the mounting rack to fit it to your bike. Best job done would be at Seng Kwang. 2nd Hand WingRack could range up to S$200-S$300 depending on the model and condition. FYI, basic WingRack is just the 2 plates to mount the side boxes. The optional parts would be the signal indicators and the top box mount extension. WingRack only fits MonoKey boxes.

just go to 219 & ask for the brackets.

or ask LAB.

Im planning to get a new cb400 super boldor which looks similar to the cb1300 super touring. Have any of you seen a cb400 installed with the super touring panniers? Can i get boonsiew to have it all fixed and shipped here to look exactly like the cb1300 super touring?

Sorry to disappoint u, but u cant.

The CB13 ST are standard fixtures.

Meaning, the frame has been design to compliment the panniners, i.e. ST13 or ST11.

You cant literally ask BS to get the parts & fix onto the CB4, because simply it cant fit in.

There's mounting points to ponder on, exhaust height, clearance issues & etc.

Unless Honda Jpn decides to do a CB4 ST version.

 

What you can do, would be,

1) Get a CB4;

2) Get Kappa's V33

3) Bring to SKMIC to fabricate the racks onto the bike;

No such fitting for Spec 3.

Cos Givi did not mk it for this bike.

Either use the Universal brackets & find ways to mount, or,

go to SKMIC to customize the mounting brackets.
